Sam Mendes is bringing The Beatles to us, but they won't be John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr exactly. He has picked an all-star cast to portray them for four biopics, each featuring a band member, about the most influential band in the West. The films will arrive three years later, in April 2028.

The announcement was made during the CinemaCon, and Mendes explained that these films would help us understand the original members on a deeper level. He said,

"They're four very different human beings. Perhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply. But together, all four films will tell the story of the greatest band in history."

Every movie is told from the respective band member's perspective. To add more strength to it, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the families of John Lennon and George Harrison will help the actors with the portrayals of the legendary musicians.

As for the actors in the film, Paul Mescal is Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan is Ringo Starr, Harris Dickinson is John Lennon, and Joseph Quinn is George Harrison. We will take a closer look at them now.

All four actors portraying members of The Beatles in the upcoming film

Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney

Paul Mescal was recently seen in the Gladiator sequel, who plays the son of Maximus (Russell Crowe) alongside Denzel Washington. This was his first big-budget film. Before this, the actor was universally acclaimed for his role as Calum Paterson in the Oscar-nominated Aftersun (2022).

He is portraying Paul McCartney, the bass guitarist of the band who also took up lead vocal duties alongside John Lennon. That's considered among the best vocal duos of all time.

Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr

One of the greatest Irish film actors is on board for the film, and he's only 32. Barry Keoghan gained wider recognition after working with Christopher Nolan on Dunkirk (2017). He was also seen in The Eternals (2021) as Druig, who possesses mind-controlling abilities. Other than that, his role as Dominic Kearney in 2022's The Banshees of Inisherin was widely praised.

Barry will fill the shoes of Ringo Starr in the film, who himself confirmed last year that the actor will be portraying The Beatles member. Starr first performed as the drummer of the band on August 18, 1962.

Harris Dickinson is John Lennon

The British actor is rapidly getting recognition, and not just the fans; Harris Dickinson's co-stars have nothing but praise for him. He was recently seen in Babygirl (2024) opposite Nicole Kidman and was rumored to be cast as Scott Summers in the MCU for their X-Men films.

He is the legendary John Lennon in The Beatles film. He is the man who founded the band the world loves today (CM Punk doesn't know a thing about music). We sure want to see how Harris will pull off those Windsor glasses in the film.

Joseph Quinn as George Harrison

Joseph Quinn just got off the schedule after being a part of what critics say is the most realistic depiction of combat in Warfare. And while he becomes a part of the Fab Four, he already is a part of The Fantastic Four.

He is the final member of The Beatles on this list, George Harrison, also known as "the quiet Beatle." While this goes better with Quinn's MCU role, we have to say it: Flame on!
