Apart from his acting chops, Terrence Howard frequently appears in the news for his peculiar comments. Howard, who played the lead in the television series Empire for five years between 2015 and 2020, has often stoked controversy with his bizarre claims that range from unverified scientific and mathematical theorizations to the personal hygiene habits of women he dates.

Terrence Howard’s 7 most bizarre comments
1. “That would f**k me, I would cut my lips off…If I kiss some man I would cut my lips off.”
In his most most recent brush with controversy, Terrence Howard claimed that he was uncomfortable with playing the lead role in director Lee Daniels’ biopic of R&B singer Marvin Gaye because of his uneasiness with simulating intimacy with a man on-screen.
During the April 28 episode of Club Random, Howard revealed that he confronted music producer Quincy Jones to verify whether or not Gaye was involved in relationships with men. Although Gaye’s homos*xuality was never publicly confirmed, according to Howard, Jones verified that Gaye was gay.
When Maher asked Howard if he was uncomfortable with kissing a man onscreen for a role, Howard said,
“That would f**k me, I would cut my lips off…If I kiss some man I would cut my lips off.”
2. I don't play gay roles, I don't kiss a man, I don't do that sh*t because the man card means everything.
Terrence Howard’s discussion of his discomfort with playing Marvin Gaye onscreen was not the first time the actor has opened up about playing roles of gay men. Earlier in April, Howard appeared on the the PBD Podcast and spoke about how he believes his masculinity would be compromised if he were to play “gay roles.” The actor said,
“So always be the man in the room, and that's always been my whole thing and have lost businesses because I don’t, I don't bend over in that way, I don't compromise, I don't play gay roles, I don't kiss a man, I don't do that sh*t because the man card means everything.”
3. "One times one equals two. We’re about to show a new truth. The true universal math.”
Back in 2015, Howard first debuted his own spin on mathematics, by claiming that people who understand that one multiplied by one means one are being misled. Instead, Howard claimed during a conversation with Rolling Stone that the multiplication of one with one gives two.

While revealing that he has embarked on a project to educate people about this new mathematical revelation, he said,
“This is the last century that our children will ever have been taught that one times one is one. They won’t have to grow up in ignorance. Twenty years from now, they’ll know that one times one equals two. We’re about to show a new truth. The true universal math.”
As per Howard, he dropped out of Pratt Institute where he was studying chemical engineering over a disagreement with his professor related to the math problem.
4. “I’ve made some discoveries in my own personal life with the science that Pythagoras was searching for."
Building on his bizarre experiments with questioning the established notions of mathematics, Howard has also claimed to have worked on energy and gravity. KTLA 5 reported that in 2019, the actor gave a bizarre interview on the Emmy red carpet where he recounted his theoretical experiments. He said,
“I’ve made some discoveries in my own personal life with the science that Pythagoras was searching for. I was able to open up the flower of life properly and find the real wave conjugations we've been looking for for 10,000 years.”
Further, Howard explained that he had found a new way to study gravity. He said,
“I’m going to be able to prove that gravity is only an effect and not a force."
5. “We're about to kill gravity we're about to kill their God gravity and they don't want that.”
Terrence Howard’s experiments with gravity did not end there. During a conversation with Joe Rogan on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Howard claimed that he had figured out a way to end gravity.
Howard said,
“We're about to kill gravity we're about to kill their God gravity and they don't want that.”
Continuing, Howard revealed that he had built a model of the milky way galaxy. He said,
“We rebuilt the the Milky Way galaxy the same way and it predicts the star arrangement better than NASA does”
6. "I was inside my mother's womb and I was about maybe 6 months inside the womb"
Terrence Howard’s appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast also included the actor sharing his experience of being born with the podcast host. While talking about his first memory, Howard claimed that he remembered being inside his mother’s womb when she was six months pregnant with him.

During the bizarre conversation, Howard said,
“My first memory was almost like when you're dreaming and you're falling and you hit the bottom and you wake up...I was inside my mother's womb and I was about maybe 6 months inside the womb and I'm like, ‘okay don't forget I'm here.’”
As per the actor, he even remembered being born. He revealed,
“Then ultimately you get ready to come out, I remember all of that. I remember being compressed...I remember being circumcised, I remember the whole nine.”
7. "Toilet paper...it's just unclean"
Finally, one of Terrence Howard’s oldest bizarre comments was when the actor told Elle in 2007 that a woman who uses toilet paper puts him off.
When asked that what would be an object that he would be put off by if he found it in the house of a woman he was dating, Howard said,
“Toilet paper—and no baby wipes—in her bathroom.”
Continuing, Howard went on to explain, and added,
“If they're using dry paper, they aren't washing all of themselves. It's just unclean. So if I go inside a woman's house and see the toilet paper there, I'll explain this. And if she doesn't make the adjustment to baby wipes, I'll know she's not completely clean.”
Terrence Howard’s unfounded experiments with science have led to the actor making many bizarre claims over the years. Apart from his scholastic adventures, Howard’s preferences in his personal and professional life have also led the actor to make some strange comments in the past.
