The most anticipated sporting event of the year, the Super Bowl, is finally taking place, and all the upcoming Hollywood releases are shooting their shot by launching trailers for the projects at the big game. As per tradition, the Super Bowl stage broadcasts several media projects. These range from advertisements by big brands to trailers and music launches supporting upcoming releases.

Studios would have to pay between $7.5 and $8 million for a 30-second advertisement on Fox during the Super Bowl this year. Although it's a large amount, it's important to note that the audience was close to 124 million viewers last year, and sources have explored the possibility of numbers only getting higher this year.

The Super Bowl is a highly successful platform in the advertising space. Two of last year's biggest films, Deadpool & Wolverine and Wicked were part of the Super Bowl.

This year's Super Bowl has an impressive lineup as it looks toward an exciting first half of the year with highly anticipated releases. From big Marvel projects to blockbuster sequels, here are the top trailers to possibly look out for during this year's Super Bowl.

Predictions on which trailers will make it to the Super Bowl

Scarlett Johansson starrer Jurassic World Rebirth is a popular contender for this year's Super Bowl. The highly acclaimed film that will bring a new plotline to the franchise has high stakes on the line, and many are expecting to see it on the big screen.

Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible might also get a teaser trailer during the game as the new film aims to give fans a happy conclusion to Ethan Hunt's missions through the decades. Cruise himself has been teasing that the film might be the end of the franchise. Some coverage at the Super Bowl might be the best way to conclude the journey.

Marvel has been brimming with new projects, and their latest endeavor Thunderbolts might also get some screen time during the game. Led by a new team of anti-heroes, the film will initiate a new phase for Marvel as the old heroes step aside. Marvel might also screen the trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps, as the trailer for the film has crossed large numbers in views, days after its release.

As for Disney, the studio is all set to introduce multiple projects this year, so it's quite confusing which one they would choose to send forth. That is, if they do. Disney has multiple upcoming projects, including the live-action version of Snow White, Wicked: Part Two, and Lilo & Stitch.

Super Bowl LIX is taking place in New Orleans at the Superdome and is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. today. You can watch it on Fox and other NFL Broadcasters, while Hulu and TUBI are offering the game on their streaming sites.
