Kate Hudson is joining Hugh Jackman in Song Sung Blue, a feel-good American drama film that revolves around a down-on-luck married couple who start a Neil Diamond tribute band. The film is inspired by the real-life pair Mike and Claire Sardina, who became local icons after they formed the tribute band in Milwaukee.
The film is written and directed by Craig Brewer, who is known for his directorial features like Hustle & Flow (2005), Dolemite Is My Name (2019), Black Snake Moan (2006), Coming 2 America (2021), and the Footloose remake in 2011. Brewer also serves as the producer along with John Fox and John Davis from Davis Entertainment.
