Sneaks cast and character guide: Meet the voice actors in the animated sports comedy

Sneaks is the latest animated film that was released on April 18, 2025, in US theaters and on Sky Cinema. It stars Anthony Mackie as the central character of Ty, a shoe who embarks on a quest in New York to find his sister pair. Anthony Mackie stars as Ty, a unique collector sneaker that gets stolen along with his pair. While trying to escape, he accidentally leaves the other sneaker behind. So, he desperately tries to find her while overcoming his fear of the overwhelming New York.

Anthony Mackie appears in this comedic role shortly after taking over the shield of Captain America in the MCU's Brave New World. In addition to that, Mackie is known for his performances in 8 Mile (2002), The Hurt Locker (2008), and The Adjustment Bureau (2011).

Chloe Bailey as Maxine

Chloe Bailey plays Maxine, Ty's sister, who gets left behind when he escapes the shoe collector's house in New York. She seeks help from other shoes in his collection to reunite with her owner before an important game begins.

Chloe Bailey is widely known for her music career as a singer-songwriter and record producer, where she also worked alongside her sister and The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey. Besides that, Chloe is known for her acting performances in Praise This (2023) and A Wrinkle in Time (2018).

Laurence Fishburne as The Collector

Sneakers stars Laurence Fishburne as a shoe collector who steals Ty and Maxine from their young owner, Edson. After Ty escapes his crib, he holds Maxine captive until he gets what he wants.

Laurence Fishburne is a veteran Hollywood actor, most famous for his portrayal of Morpheus in the Matrix movies and of the Bowery King in the John Wick movies. He recently starred in The Amateur, a spy thriller, alongside Rami Malek.

Martin Lawrence as JB

In Sneaks, Martin Lawrence plays JB, a worn-out shoe who tags along with Ty in his search for his sister. Since Ty has never left his comfortable space, JB teaches him street smarts and how to put himself in the outside world.

Martin Lawrence has been a part of the Bad Boys movies along with Will Smith. He was also the central character in Martin, an American sitcom that ran between 1992 and 1997 on Fox.
