The science fiction horror franchise Predator is making a comeback with its sixth film in the main series - Predator 6: Badlands. Dan Trachtenberg will return as the director after his last film Prey: Predator 5's success. The movie is set to be released in theatres across the United States on November 7, 2025.
Elle Fanning (known for her work in All The Bright Places) will be the lead star in Predator 6: Badlands, per reports. But there is still no confirmation on what role she will play. Following the commercial as well as the critical success of the last movie, there is much speculation among fans about the plot of the upcoming film.

The production of the movie was confirmed in February 2024 and according to reports, it will be a standalone movie following a different story in a different timeline. The background will reportedly be set sometime in the future.

When will Predator 6: Badlands be released?
The movie is set to have its theatrical release on November 7, 2025, across the United States. The last movie in the franchise was released on Hulu but, the sixth part will directly reach the theatres. However, there is no news of Predator 6's streaming on OTT platforms. The fans are also waiting for the release of its first official trailer.
What do we know about the plot of Predator 6: Badlands?
As the story goes, the arrival of Yatuja (a space-faring species) can happen anywhere and anytime. In the movie Prey, we saw them landing somewhere in modern-day North America but for Predator 6: Badlands, the plot remains to be unearthed.
Director Trachtenberg has only teased the viewers mentioning that the new story will be set sometime in the future. As we saw in the last movie, the predating species hunts down human beings in a timeline set much before the present day.
On the contrary, we will now reportedly witness how humans use technology and wit to fight off alien forces in a pseudo-futuristic setting. The clash between the two clans will give way to a considerable amount of action clubbed with thrill.
Who is in the cast of Predator 6: Badlands?
The only news we have so far on the cast is that Elle Fanning will be appearing on the big screen as a lead star. The confirmation of her joining the cast came in August 2024, though there is no news about how her character will be portrayed. Fanning is known for her work in multiple movies and TV shows namely Maleficent, The Great, All The Bright Places, and The Beguiled. The rest of the cast of Predator 6: Badlands is still under wraps.
