Director Kornél Mundruczó is coming with his new directorial venture named Place to Be.
After directing movies including Delta (2008), White God (2014), Jupiter's Moon (2017), Pieces of a Woman (2020), and Evolution (2021), this time comes with the moving drama film Place to Be.
Place to Be is penned by Kata Wéber, who has also previously written White God, Jupiter's Moon, and Pieces of a Woman.
As per reports at Deadline, Place to Be follows the plot of an unusual friendship between a practical yet warm-hearted woman named Brooke and Nelson, a confused man who has been through divorce. In order to hand back a misplaced pigeon, they form a friendship on their travel journey to New York from Chicago.
Place to Be includes an incredible cast of actors, namely Lena Waithe, Ellen Burstyn, Taika Waititi, Édgar Ramírez, and Pamela Anderson.

Veteran actor Ellen Burstyn shall be essaying the role of Brooke, whereas Taika Waititi shall be playing the role of Nelson in Place to Be.
The Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA award-winning actor Ellen Burstyn is known for films including The Exorcist (1973), The Last Picture Show (1971), Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974), Same Time, Next Year (1978), How to Make an American Quilt (1995), Requiem of a Dream (2000), and Interstellar (2014), amongst many others.
She is once again collaborating with director Kornél Mundruczó this time, after starring in Pieces of a Woman.
Taika Waititi is a BAFTA, Academy Award, and Grammy Award-winning multifaceted artist. His acting credits include Green Lantern (2011), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Jojo Rabbit (2019), The Suicide Squad (2021), Next Goal Wins (2023), and more.
Lena Waithe shall portray the role of Shy, who provides support to Brooke in returning and finding the actual possessor of the pigeon.
Along with acting, the Emmy award-winning artist is notable for her work in writing and producing some incredible projects.
She is known for her works, including Master of None (2015, 2017, 2021), Dear White People (2018), Ready Player One (2018), A Black Lady Sketch Show (2019), Queen & Slim (2019), Boomerang (2019-2020), Westworld (2020), The Chi (2020), Twenties (2020-2021), Them (2021), Grey's Anatomy (2005-present), and more.
Pamela Anderson shall portray the role of Molly, the daughter of Brooke. Molly is a person who is rebuilding herself after her second marriage broke up. Meanwhile, she is also apprehensive about relocating her geriatric mother to any assisted living facility.
The Golden Globe-nominated actor Pamela Anderson is iconic for her work in films and series including Home Improvement (1991-1997), Baywatch (1992-1997), V.I.P. (1998-2002), Scary Movie 3 (2003), Borat (2006), and The Last Showgirl (2024), to name a few.
About Pamela Anderson's involvement in the project, director Kornél Mundruczó is all praises for the actor as he spoke to Deadline:

Details about the character of Édgar Ramírez in Place to Be have not been disclosed yet.
