Picture This: Release date, plot, cast and more about Prime Video's upcoming rom-com

Prime Video is soon coming up with yet another romantic comedy. Picture This, directed by Prarthana Mohan will feature Simone Ashley (Sex Education and Bridgerton) alongside Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After). It is an adaptation of the Australian rom-com, Five Blind Dates.

The story of Picture This revolves around an aspiring young artist named Pia (played by Ashley) who goes to attend an engagement party and learns that her love life will supposedly bring good surprises very soon. As the plot unravels, more twists await Pia.

The movie will exclusively premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 6, 2025. The official synopsis of Picture This, per IMDb, reads:

"Pia, a struggling photographer, receives a prediction: true love awaits in her next five dates. With her sister's wedding looming and her family playing matchmaker, her ex re-appears, throwing her love life into chaos."

Prime Video will globally release Picture This on March 6, 2025. There are several subscription plans available for users ranging from $9 to $18 per month, depending on whether it's ad-free or not.

What do we know about the plot of Picture This?

Picture This is based on the story of a struggling artist Pia in her early photography years. Pia, while attending her sibling's engagement party, comes across a strange spiritual person who turns her life upside down by foreseeing love down her path.

He mentions that Pia will stumble upon her soulmate very soon - supposedly among the next five men she'll go out with. Consequently, her family engages in a mission to set her up with blind dates and Pia's search for love ends up in more trouble after her ex turns up.

Per Deadline, the Head of Northern European Originals (Amazon Studios), Tara Erer reportedly mentioned in a statement:

"We’re really excited to bring this brilliant new and original London set romantic-comedy to Prime Video customers. "

Who is in the cast of Picture This?

Bridgerton star Simone Ashley will lead the cast of Picture This in the role of Pia, a struggling yet aspiring photographer. She will be joined by co-star Hero Fiennes Tiffin who will play the part of Charlie, Pia's ex-boyfriend.

Anoushka Chadha has been cast as Sonal, Pia's sister, whose marriage event is central to the story. Sindhu Vee will play the role of Laxmi, Pia's mother. Others in the cast, include:
