The upcoming Warner Bros. thriller film Panic Carefully will feature the ensemble duo of Elizabeth Olsen and Julia Roberts as award-winning director Sam Esmail returns to the big screen. The movie has been tagged as a paranoid thriller closely following the tone of The Silence Of The Lambs and the Emmy-winning show Mr. Robot (by Esmail himself).
Kevin McCormick from Warner Bros. will oversee the project alongside Chrystal Li. Esmail and lead star Roberts will join the production team along with Lisa Gillan, Scott Stuber, and Marisa Yeres Gill, as per reports. Moreover, the star-studded cast has raised quite some eyebrows lately.
Filming will reportedly begin in London in January 2025, but the official logline of Panic Carefully is still being kept under wraps. One of the recent ventures where we saw Sam Esmail team up with Julia Roberts (Academy Award winner) was the first season of Homecoming, a thriller series by Amazon.
Do we have a release date for Panic Carefully?
So far, there has been no announcement from Warner Bros. about a release date, but Panic Carefully will reportedly go into production in January 2025 in England. Initially the project garnered attention from both Netflix and Paramount Pictures. However, Warner Bros. has outdone the others by signing a deal for a theatrical run.

Has the plot for the Julia Roberts-Elizabeth Olsen starrer been revealed yet?
Panic Carefully is a paranoid thriller that will closely echo the vibes of Mr. Robot by Rami Malek and The Silence of the Lambs. That said, Warner Bros. has not revealed anything more about the movie's plot. The title hits a rather oxymoronic note and leaves questions in the viewers' minds, but all we can do is wait till the story is further unveiled.
Who is in the cast and crew of Panic Carefully?
As mentioned before, the two lead stars of Panic Carefully include Julia Roberts and Elizabeth Olsen, who will supposedly take key roles for the movie. All other cast members' names are still being kept under wraps.
Chad Hamilton from Email Corp. will reportedly produce the film alongside Sam Esmail, who recently garnered a lot of social media attention owing to his 2023 apocalyptic thriller hit Leave The World Behind. The Roberts-Esmail duo is already well-known from Leave The World Behind, a movie (with Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke as protagonists) that got 143.4 million views so far.
On the other hand, lead star Olsen has played a key role in Netflix's 2023 family drama His Three Daughters. She has done notable work for Marvel playing the role of Wanda and has also starred in Fleur Fortuné’s science fiction thriller movie The Assessment (2024).
