The reported title of the follow-up film of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood confirms the return of Cliff Booth.

In a recent interview with Deadline, The Sinners actor Michael B. Jordan revealed the reported title of the sequel to Quentin Tarantino's 2019 classic. The film is said to be titled The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth.

As per the title, it is clear that the forthcoming film shall primarily emphasize Brad Pitt's character, Cliff Booth.

On April 21, 2025, Michael B. Jordan spoke to Deadline about his latest release, Sinners. As per the outlet, the title of the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel was revealed by Fleming Jr. to Jordan and the helmer of Sinners, Ryan Coogler. He mentions the title to be The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth, as he states:

"David Fincher will direct Pitt for Netflix what I’ve heard is called The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth, where the stuntman becomes a Hollywood studio fixer."

As revealed, the upcoming film will be helmed by none other than David Fincher. The title of the forthcoming sequel clearly indicates that Cliff Booth's story will take center stage. It is apparent that the film will explore Booth's character and storyline in greater depth. In the original film, Booth works as a stuntman, but in this sequel, he transitions into a studio fixer.

Back in the old days in the industry, a fixer would be someone who would make sure to keep the image of the stars clean. They would conceal their misdeeds so that they would not catch the public eye and ruin their reputation.

Cliff Booth, in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, is a confidante to Leonardo DiCaprio's character, Rick Dalton, and also a stuntman. He is considered to be lethal due to his combat skills. In the film's narrative, it is hinted that he kills his wife, Billie, even though the audience is unsure about this.

But in the 2021 novel version of the film by Tarantino, it is revealed that Booth had murdered his wife. Nonetheless, it has been followed by deep remorse experienced by Cliff Booth. Brad Pitt, for his portrayal of Cliff Booth in the film, was honoured with an Oscar in the category of Best Supporting Actor.

In the original film, Rick Dalton is the primary character in the film. However, as per Collider, DiCaprio shall return back to his role as Dalton in this sequel. But this time, Dalton will have a shorter screen time.

The sequel will be penned by Quentin Tarantino himself and produced in collaboration with Netflix. As reported by Collider, filming is set to begin in California this summer.
