O'Dessa is a musical drama set in a post-apocalyptic world. It follows a farm girl who travels to Satylite City on a quest to find a family heirloom - and discovers her true love.

The recently released trailer promises a cyberpunk (dystopian futuristic) rock opera, soaked in neon lights. However, this is not the first time writer-director Geremy Jasper has worked on a musical film. His 2017 film, Patti Cake$ also follows a young, talented musical artist embarking on a journey to achieve her dreams as an aspiring rapper.

“I would sing a song, and no one else would really know that I’m freaking out on the inside, but in my own head, it’s like, ‘Oh, that’s not my voice. That’s not how I can sing this song.’ … There were some days when it was harder than others. But sometimes, it was like, ‘I feel completely fearless right now, and I’m singing in front of a lot of people!’”
