Novocaine is a film with a quirky plotline in the action comedy genre. Lars Jacobson wrote this film while the duo of Robert Olsen and Dan Berk has taken the directorial responsibility. Paramount Pictures released the film on March 14, 2025.

The music of Novocaine is composed by Andrew Kawczynski and Lorne Balfe. The film features a score created by these two. Besides that, it also has a list of songs placed to evoke different kinds of emotions. Find below all the songs that have been used in the film.

  • Everybody Hurts by R.E.M. - This piece of music plays in the opening credits of Novocaine. We see the main character, Nathan Caine, going to his office and following his usual routine.
  • Casual by Chappell Roan—This song that came out in 2022 can be heard when Sherry is at her art show and she bumps into Nathan.
  • This Is Gonna Hurt by Dirty Nice - At the bar, we hear this music when Sherry is tricking an old bully of Nate to take a shot of spicy ghost pepper.
  • Power Lines by Telekinesis—Power Lines accompanies when Sherry meets Nathan in jail, and subsequently, the credits roll on screen.
  • Silver Bells, originally by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans—In one scene, both Sherry and Nate are having a delightful chat at a diner where the audience gets to listen to this song.
  • So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings by Caroline Polachek—This 2019 single can be heard in the art show where Nate and Sherry are with each other.
  • Mist Of A Dream by Birdlegs & Pauline—This 1964 classic plays out when Nate and Sherry are finally getting intimate and are talking about personal stuff.
  • I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness—This one can be heard right after the first night the duo spends together.
  • You're The Inspiration by Chicago—When Nate is getting physically tortured by Andre, this song plays out in an ironic way as Nate has to pretend to get hurt.
  • Parsifal—Act II: Grausamer! Fuhlst Du Im Herzen by Richard Wagner— The tattoo parlor, where Nate is questioning people for Ben, has this song playing in the background.
