Bernice Burgos had her share of struggles before she became a model and entrepreneur. In a recent episode of Joe Budden Podcast, titled Cold and Flustered, she shared instances from her bartending days.

Burgos mentioned that she would earn around $30,000 on slower nights, while on peak nights and special events like birthdays, her earnings could reach up to $70,000. She said,

“I only bartended for three years. I only said three years I was gonna be in here, start my clothing line, and I was out, buy my house and do what I gotta do, and that's what I did.”

Netizens quickly reacted to her statement after a clip from the podcast went viral on social media platforms. One X user wrote,

“this is all time cap. that's 7.5 mill a year minimum. you're not making NFL money as bartender unless your selling something illegal on the side. you're just not.”

Social media users expressed disbelief over Bernice Burgos’ claim, as many wrote that it was unrealistic for a bartender to earn so much money.

“Was serving way more than drinks if that was true,” a social media user wrote.
“So let’s see if she worked 3 days a week for a year on average she would make 4.3 million annually pre tax as a waitresses. Does this sound realistic?” a person pointed out on X.
“As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for many years…. There’s no way in hell she’d make 30,000 a night as BARTENDER,” a netizen remarked.

Netizens wrote that Bernice Burgos might be confused between the zeroes, while others hinted she might have side-hustled.

“How you selling the club’s bottles for $250 if they really go for $350 and making a profit? You paying the extra with your tips?” another X user asked.
“Maybe she's confused between $3,000 and $30,000?” an online user mentioned.
“Is bartender a code word for something else?!?!” an internet user reacted.

Bernice Burgos said she would sell the bottles at $250

Bernice Burgos explained her approach, saying she would sell bottles for $250, even though they cost $350, to build goodwill with her customers. She emphasized that tips weren't required upfront, as people would eventually show appreciation by throwing money her way. Her goal was to create good relationships with regulars at the venue.

The reality star also shared that she didn’t go overboard with her look, often opting for a full-body suit. Joe Budden joked that her drinks were probably the weakest at the bar, but people still flocked there simply because of her presence, sparking laughter in the room.

Bernice Burgos has built a notable career over the years. In 2024, she joined VH1’s popular reality show The Impact: New York, where she starred alongside influencers from the music, beauty, and business sectors, including DreamDoll.

At 42, Burgos has long been a fixture in the music and fashion scenes, appearing in music videos for artists like Drake, J. Cole, DJ Khaled, and Rick Ross.

In 2015, she made headlines after being photographed with Drake in Australia, though she clarified they were just friends. Bernice Burgos is the mother of two daughters, Ashley, 28, and Sarai, 17. In 2018, Ashley welcomed her first child.
