The controversial rapper Kanye West, now legally named Ye, was back on social media with a stream of posts praising his alleged billionaire status, his support for Donald Trump, and comments connected to his long-running feud with Taylor Swift.

The rapper, fashion mogul, and entrepreneur took to X over the weekend to share his thoughts on his financial comeback and political beliefs, sparking widespread discussion online.

Kanye West’s posts came soon after reports indicated that his net worth had returned to $2.77 billion. He credited this financial turnaround to his music catalog and full ownership of the Yeezy brand.

He took a major hit in 2022 when Adidas ended its relationship with him over antisemitic comments he made, which, along with Donda, led to his net worth plummeting to $400 million. Forbes had previously noted that his partnership with Adidas was worth a significant part of his net worth.

Reveling in his financial rebound, Ye posted a photo on Instagram accompanied by the words “LAA LA LA LA,” as well as a mention of the valuation firm Eton Venture Services, which reportedly calculated his wealth.

However, this claim has not yet been independently verified by large financial publications such as Forbes or Bloomberg.

Kanye West also said several things about Donald Trump, recently re-elected to office, in a series of posts. In another of his posts, wrote:

"Trumps back in office. Ye’s back a billionaire. The world might just be ok."

Ye also revisited his past support for Trump when he donned a red MAGA hat in 2018. “I risked my life to wear a red hat then he turned it black,” he tweeted, apparently referring to the backlash he received after declaring his support for the former president.

Kanye West trolls Kamala Harris and makes a Taylor Swift Reference

Ye also trolled Vice President Kamala Harris by changing his profile picture to an image of her. The move was seen as a dig at the Democratic Party and an indication of his own loyalty to Trump.

Kanye West continued his political rant yet prefaced it with his recent Grammy nomination for Carnival, a single from his Vultures album series. Despite a rocky relationship with the Academy, which at one point had him banned from the ceremony in the mid-2000s.

On the other hand, Ye made headlines for only following Taylor Swift on his Instagram. The move comes as no surprise since they had been feuding infamously since 2009.

The rapper had invaded Swift’s MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech. At the moment, it is not clear if the gesture was a taunt or a bid to repair relations.
