A video of Drake trying to take down a drone with his sandal after spotting it trying to record his house is going viral, triggering confusion online.
In the video, a drone can be seen wafting into the Toronto rapper's penthouse in Sydney, and when the musician sees it, he takes off his sandals and tries to knock it down. However, he misses, and the drone instead captures a birds-eye view of the structure.
Users have since begun reacting to the video with a mix of confusion and speculation, with some users even pointing out that the rapper didn't even try to knock the drone down purposely. Check out what one user stated, for instance:
"Wondering what he's promo-ing here lol"
The comments and probes didn't end:
"Kendrick fans already starting to spy on my goat after he dropped an aoty," someone quipped.
"Surely this isn’t real," another posited.
"The jokes write themselves," one other quipped.
"Drake looked hella scared," yet another claimed.
Even more chimed in:
"With a throw like that it’s fair to say Drake ain’t no athlete," one user jested.
"What kind of throw was that," another echoed.
"He might have the worst aim I’ve ever seen," one more pointed out.
"Why is my [G.O.A.T.] so hilarious, Unserious throw," a fan joked.
Users were visibly confused as to whether the clip was simply a PR stunt or if the rapper was bad at aiming.
Everything we know about Drake's baffling drone takedown video:
Drake is currently on his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia and New Zealand, and the video of him throwing an orange chancla at the drone is going viral. It has since amassed well over 11 million views, though the person controlling the drone remains unclear.
The video comes amid the release of his and PartyNextDoor's latest album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. Just two days ago, the rapper took to his Plot Twist account on Instagram to tease a song that has yet to come out on any streaming platform. The Tribune reports that the song was slated to come out as part of his latest album, though sample clearance issues got in the way.
The leak also featured an unidentified female artist, though OnlyHeaven, a rapper from New Orleans, came forward to accept credit. She took to her Instagram stories to reveal:
“Yeah he’s saving the best for next for sure.”
In her Instagram stories, OnlyHeaven also hinted at the possibility of Drake dropping a "Deluxe Album" in the near future.
