Cameron Jibril Thomaz also famously known as Wiz Khalifa, has recently shared his thoughts on the Flat Earth Theory. Khalifa expressed that he believes we are living on a flat plane and he doesn’t believe in space exploration. The American rapper isn’t alone though, over the years, a list of stars from professional basketball player Kyrie Andrew Irving to rapper B.o.B. have shared their thoughts about the flat earth theory.
During an episode of the Joe Budden Podcast, Wiz Khalifa was asked if he thought the Earth was round, to which he replied ‘No.' He later explained that his opinions on the 'flat earth' were based on personal experiences.
“Because when I travel, the routes that we take and how we do it, it’s not possible to go up and down. You’re just going straight, that’s the only reason I think that way.” explained Wiz Khalifa.
"I don't believe in space exploration at all, I don't believe that they explore space as much as they say that they do." he later added.
The “See You Again” rapper later clarified his stance on the Bootleg Kev Podcast. Wiz Khalifa explained that his belief comes from personal observations rather than believing second hand explanation when it comes to the shape of the earth.
“I just believe more what I see than what I’m told, especially the older that I get. And the whole concept of space is way too big for my imagination anyway.” said Khalifa.
He also remarked that, in his opinion, the belief often comes down to personal choice as people choose what they want to believe in.
“If you choose to believe what scientists say, cool. If you choose to travel and find out for yourself, or see as much as you can for yourself and base your beliefs off that, then that’s another choice—and that’s more or less what I did.”
In his view, his personal travel experiences have only strengthened his stance on flat earth theory.
“I’ve only moved flat. I’ve only moved. And looking at the map and the routes that we take, it doesn’t seem like we’re going around anything—it just seems like we’re going straight. Over top of where it could look like a circle if you rounded it out, but if it’s just one thing, it connects exactly the same. So I just don’t see the difference.”
Khalifa later shared that he hasn’t been sold on any single idea but has formulated his opinions with his personal experiences. He added that the whole flat earth debate doesn’t really matter to him because he doesn’t plan on bidding earth a goodbye anytime soon to explore the truth. In his opinion the shape of the earth is an endless debate because ‘nobody really knows’.
Kyrie Irving's Journey: From Flat Earth Believer to Public Apology

Wiz Khalifa isn’t the first celebrity to express belief in a flat Earth. NBA star Kyrie Irving famously stated in 2017 that he believed the Earth was flat. He later walked back the claim, apologizing and admitting he "didn't realize the effect" his words would have. Irving explained that at the time, he was deeply interested in conspiracy theories, and the public reaction helped him understand the "power of voice."
In a report shared by ESPN in 2018, Irving explained his regret about the flat-earth opinion.
"Even if you believe in that, don't come out and say that stuff. That's for intimate conversations because perception and how you're received, it changes. I'm actually a smart-ass individual," he shared.
Kyrie Irving also admitted he hadn't fully grasped how much influence his words could have on the public.
"At the time I didn't realize the effect. I was definitely at that time, 'I'm a big conspiracy theorist. You can't tell me anything.' I'm sorry about all that. For all the science teachers, everybody coming up to me like, 'You know I have to reteach my whole curriculum!' I'm sorry. I apologize. I apologize," Irving explained.
