Dennis Rodman's daughter, Trinity Rodman, a professional soccer star, has dissed her father's now-deleted apology post. In an interview with Call Her Daddy podcast, the 22-year-old reflected on the one time her father showed up at one of her matches in 2021.
While the gesture may have initially caught her off-guard and left her emotional, she now finds herself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that kind of connection with him." In response, Denis Rodman took to social media to pen a heartfelt apology. However, the Olympic champion also took to her Instagram stories to share just how she felt in a few cutthroat words:
"Nice repost. A joke. The response alone. And the attention. Wiping my hands with it and I'm done. Thank you."

Here's what Dennis Rodman wrote, as reported by The New York Post, accompanied by a video montage of the two through the years:
"Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop. I will keep Trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time. I’m always here And tell you all the time rather it’s your voice or voicemail how proud I am. I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me. Hopefully one day I can get that. I’m here and I’m still trying pick up the phone you have my number, You see me calling, I’m still here Dennis RODMAN- Dad.”
He went on, defending himself further:
"FYI: I watch you play All the time😊 (actually flew in to watch you play and was told not to show up bc who I was with instead and me just wanting to support you So I watched you from my hotel balcony just to make everybody happy. I love All My Kids.”
During her December 18 interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the USWNT star reflected on how she views her dad:
"He's a person. He's not a dad. Maybe by blood, but nothing else."
She also reflected on the financial struggles she, her mother, Michelle Moyer, and her brother DJ went through when her parents parted ways. She revealed that they lived in an SUV when Rodman would only show up to see them “once, two, three, four times a year.”
“Before the divorce happened, my dad was actually helping money wise. … He would actually give money to my mom and let us live life a little bit,” Trinity said. “When the divorce happened, it was just like, ‘F--- you guys.’ … We’re getting enough money to pay rent, barely.”
The soccer player blamed her father's infamous struggles with substance abuse, noting that the “parties 24/7” were a massive issue for her growing up:
"He’s an alcoholic. That’s something that I don’t want to say, but I’m just like, f--- it. It’s just the truth,” she said.
As for their relationship now, she revealed that she seldom answers his calls, if only to ease her own “conscience."
"I want to know that I did that. Or if he needed to hear my voice before anything happens,” she said. “That’s why I answer the phone, not for me.”
Dennis Rodman fathers Trinity, 22, and Dennis Rodman Jr., 23, from his marriage to Michelle Moyer. He also shares a daughter, Alexis, 36, with Annie Bakes, his first wife.
