A few days ago, actor Will Ferell portrayed his love and camaraderie for John C. Reilly. The incident took place on the occasion of US Ireland Alliance's Oscar Wilde Awards which was organized at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles on February 27. At the event, four Irish-American and Irish natives, including Reily were honored.

In his speech, Ferell narrated how he met Rilley when he was working on Saturday Night Live. However, it was after some time that the two began working together. It was during the first table read of Anchorman that both of them actually started bonding. Narrating about the table read, Ferell laughed about Reilly's sense of humor as he said to the People Magazine

“We could not get over how funny he was, that someone who was so capable as an actor could also be as funny, He, of course, blew it as he took a part in this movie Gangs of New York.

Ferell has been Reilly's co-star in several comedy movies and both the actors share a great friendship. In Hollywood, you cannot think of a better comedy duo than John C. Reilly and Will Ferell. In an article with the Independent, Reilly, who has also done some intense movies said that his friendship with Ferell was the reason 'why he was put on this earth'.

All great friendships go through tests and Ferell and Reilly's bond was no different. According to The Wrap Reports, the actors had a feud when Reilly got a role in Winning Time, something that Ferell wanted for a long time.

Remarkable movies of John C. Reilly and Will Ferell

Will Ferell and John C. Reilly are two of the most successful actors when it comes to comedy in Hollywood. While both the actors have delivered blockbuster films individually, when both the actors share the screen together, the film becomes an absolute laugh riot.

While Will Ferrell has delivered iconic hits like Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Elf, John C. Reilly has also made his mark with cult classics such as Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. The duo first showcased their on-screen chemistry in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, where they created pure comedic magic. Though not every film they’ve worked on together has been a blockbuster, their collaborations remain a delight for audiences. Some of the most notable movies featuring Ferrell and Reilly include:

Will Ferell and John C. Riley starred in the movie Holmes & Watson in 2018 and people had high expectations from the film. Critically the movie did not perform at the box office and earned an amount of $40 million. Critics bashed the comic timing and called the movie 'a wasted opportunity.

Step Brothers was released in the year 2008 and critics called it a flop. However, the movie was a hit among audiences. In fact, it is considered one of the best comedies of the 2000s. The movie portrays the height of Reilly and Ferell's working relationship and is full of iconic quotes. It is a great collaboration of both actors.

Anchorman 2 brings both the actors together even if for less screen time. Both Reilly and Ferell are the best comedy elements in the movie. Though the movie isn't as iconic as the first one, it still delivers. The bloopers are much funnier than the film.

Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie was released in the year 2012. It is an extension of the Television series Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Good Job! The role of both actors was in the form of glorified cameos and is a must-watch for the fans of the show.

Saving the best for the last, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is hands down the best of Reilly and Ferell. The actors share great work chemistry and the jokes in the film hit the right spot. The story of the film revolves around two friends who separate and realize how much they need each other to survive.
