On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Tori Spelling was in conversation with her Scream 2 co-star Jamie Kennedy in an episode of her iHeartRadio misSPELLING podcast about the movie Scream 2 and Stab. When Kennedy talked about the Scream 2 girls' Rolling Stone shoot for their The Girls of Scream issue, Spelling recalled her experience of being asked to be a part of the shoot and her solo shot ending up as the magazine cover.

She shared with Kennedy,

"Oh my gosh, can we talk about that for a second? I've never talked about that Rolling Stone cover with any other cast member from Scream..."

She continued,

"When Scream 2 was coming out, Rolling Stone wanted to do all the females of Scream 2, and they asked me to be in it. And I was like, 'Oh my gosh, are you f------ kidding me?'"

She shared that she was so "psyched" about the shoot though she only had a small part in the movie (Scream 2). She further explained how they had a group shot and an individual shot. The individual shot required the female cast to portray a famous scary movie and Spelling portrayed 'Psycho in the Shower'.

According to reports, though she felt ashamed, spelling explained that the Scream 2 girls were so proud of her for gracing the 1997 Rolling Stone cover.
