Maya Henry issued a cease and desist letter against her ex-fiancee, Liam Payne, just days before his demise. In a TikTok video, the model, 23, accused the late of obsessively contacting her and her friends and family, including her mother, Azteca Henry. Henry's attorneys, Marco Crawford and Daniel Cerna, issued the letter on her behalf on Monday, October 14.

The father of one fell to his death from the third-floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Local police rushed to the scene at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel earlier that day after getting reports of an “aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.” He leaves behind his seven-year-old son.

Maya Henry says Liam Payne was weird with her and "preys on One Direction fans because they're loyal to him"

Earlier this month, the Texan model also accused the Strip That Down singer of “weaponizing” his One Direction fanbase to attack her. In a TikTok video, Maya Henry said,

"Ever since we broke up, he messages me, will blow up my phone, not only from his phone number, it’s always from different phone numbers too, so I never know where it’s gonna come from. He’ll create new iCloud accounts to iMessage me — it’s always a damn new iCloud account. Every time I see one pop up on my phone I’m like, ‘Here we f—– go again.’ Also, [he] will email me … not only me, but he’ll blow up my mom’s phone. Is that normal behavior to you?”

Liam Payne and Maya Henry began seeing each other in 2018 and made their relationship public the following year. The pair first met at a meet-and-greet when the latter was a teenager. Payne popped the big question in 2020, but the two parted ways in April 2022, ending their on-again-off-again relationship.

Maya Henry continued:

"He's the one that is constantly doing weird sh*t, and also might I add, he literally said the reason he has all these people on his damn Snapchat, which he has had for years apparently, and messages, is he preys on One Direction fans because they're loyal to him."

She also claimed that his followers were blinded by their love for him, thereby letting him get away with "bad" things.

"When you constantly enable someone they're never gonna realise what they've done is bad, or they do realise and they know they can get away with it, which is what has happened with him for so many years. Everything gets swept under the rug, everything gets hidden for him. I don't know who the hell's behind all of this but nothing ever comes out about him."

Furthermore, she claimed it was "hard" for her "when you have these people jumping down your throat for speaking the truth on things that have happened."

In speaking with Stephen Bartlett on the Diary of a CEO podcast in 2021, Payne reflected on his shortcomings as a boyfriend, noting that he was "disappointed in" himself for constantly "disappointing people." He added that he has never "been very good at relationships" and recognizes that his "pattern of things is with relationships."

He continued, divulging that he needs to work on himself before he puts himself "on to somebody else." He also reflected on his relationship with Maya Henry, asserting that he wasn't a "good version of [himself] anymore" and felt better getting out of it. He said it's "just a corny way to say it was the best for [them] both."
