Lisa Rinna, 61, recently spoke about her father, Frank's, demise on the Let's Not Talk About the Husband podcast. Co-hosted with Harry Hamlin, her husband, she revealed the shocking news of her dad dying by assisted suicide in 2016.

Per a NationalWorld report, Frank died at the age of 94. He passed away by undergoing assisted suicide in Oregon under the Death with Dignity Act. During the podcast, the former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star expressed her dad's mental state before he took his life.

"He was in pain and he was really unhappy."

In other news, Lisa Rinna also left the reality television franchise after eight seasons. While chatting on the Therapuss podcast, the former reality star elaborated that she decided to exit the show because she was receiving backlash and criticism from the audience.

In the Therapuss podcast, Lisa revealed the surprising reason behind her exit from the renowned TV series. Citing harsh criticism and hatred from netizens, she said,

"It got very difficult toward the end because of social media. Because of in the beginning we wrote blogs, we wrote a blog you’d have to watch the show, and you’d write a blog about it. Then it became social media, and everybody got really comfortable behind their computers, saying anything. And by the end, it was the fans were the ones that ran me off that show. It wasn’t Bravo, it wasn’t the girls. It was the fan base."

Explaining how the show's fans turned on her and blamed her, Lisa Rinna chimed in,

"I left because the fan base turned on me. And listen, the fan base turns on everybody after a while. But this was a way that I was like, 'Life’s too short, not doing to do this anymore.' It was too much."

Unfortunately, leaving the show was not the end of her agony. At BravoCon 2022, people booed and shouted at her, per an EntertainmentNow report.

While speaking with E! News, Lisa Rinna stated,

"Everybody was very worried that I was booed, and I take it as a rite of passage, like a wrestler. It’s like wrestling. If you were booed, you were the star."

In the podcast, co-host Hamlin said,

"In Oregon, you’re permitted to check out when you want to check out."

Recalling an incident, Lisa Rinna also added how her father became "so mad" after his pill did not come on one Tuesday as it was supposed to.

Frank chose to end his life due to his misery and agony. His daughter talked about his assisted suicide process and shared that it took around three to six months. Doctors and professionals were with him during the procedure. While revealing details about her father's death, she called it a "trippy, trippy thing."
