Former NSYNC star Lance Bass has admitted he's never been a big fan of Sean "Diddy" Combs. During his appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on September 25, Bass revealed that his dislike for the now-disgraced mogul goes back two decades. He revealed that it started during NSYNC's final tour in 2002.

He recalled having no interest in mingling with Combs, despite the singer opening for the boy band on a few of their tour dates, disclosing that it was because he overheard Diddy telling Justin Timberland to drop the band and fly solo. The singer's claims have come on the heels of the mounting allegations against Diddy, as he faces jail time for his alleged s*xual misconduct.

During the episode, which came out on Wednesday, September 25, Lance Bass said:

"I overheard him talking to Justin being like, ‘You need to drop these effers. You need to go solo. You need to drop these.' I was like, ‘I don’t like you anymore, Diddy.’ I’m like, ‘At my own show? What the hell!’ So I never liked him.”

The host, Andy Cohen, jokingly responded that he would “not be hearing from Diddy about that." Bass shot back, claiming:

"He’s got bigger problems than Lance Bass slagging him off on ‘Watch What Happens Live.’ The gloves are off!”

According to Page Six, Cohen claimed that there was more to it than what Bass said when they were on air. He claimed that during the commercial break, Lance revealed that the "Diddy conversation was even worse than he said," adding that he "edited it a little bit.”

Lance Bass also noted that he had never personally been to one of Diddy's infamous adult parties as he never had the time.

"No, I never had time to go to a Diddy party. I forgot he had opened up on our last tour until all this came about. It’s kind of horrible.”

Timberlake eventually decided to part ways with the boy band after the group went on a hiatus back in 2002. Since then, he released six solo albums to date. However, the group eventually reunited in 2023 to record the track Better Place. In September 2024, Joey Fatone, another member of the NSYNC, told US Weekly that a band reunion would likely never happen.

“The hardest part about that is, I think, we all [haven’t] had our brains together in a long time. All of us have probably different views, different points, different ideas, completely different things [to include] … now that we have been separated as a group.”

Diddy has been hit with a slew of mounting allegations, all revolving around his purported s*xual misconduct. He is currently detained, pending trial, after a judge denied his bail twice. He now grapples with three felony charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. If convicted, he's looking at life in prison.
