Haiden Deegan, a motocross star, was arrested in Walton County, Florida, on Friday, March 21, on account of street racing and stunt driving.
Son of X Games star Brian Deegan, the 19-year-old was arrested at 11:26 p.m. and was released over two hours later after posting a $1,000 bail.
As reported by People Magazine, law enforcement claim that when Deegan was arrested, he was reportedly doing "doughnuts" (a form of a bike stunt) in a traffic lane at a sports complex. He was accused of committing a misdemeanor offense: violating Florida's street racing and stunt driving rules.
Deegan's vehicle is anticipated to be seized for 30 days. According to state law, first-time offenders face up to a year in jail, a $2,000 fine, and a one-year suspension of their driver's license.
In addition to the street racing offense, officers allegedly found false identification in Deegan's possession, including one that falsely said he was 21. However, because he cooperated during the arrest, officials decided not to prosecute him for using a fake ID. Corey Dobridnia, a spokesman for the Walton County Sheriff's Office, told the Daily Mail that
"Haiden was respectful throughout the entire encounter, which played a role in the decision not to press additional charges."

He went on to post his booking record screenshot on his Instagram stories with the caption, "Certified stunt driver" and a crying emoji along with the background music Bad Boys by Inner Circle.
He also uploaded a photoshopped image of himself in jail on X, with the caption,
"we vibin in cellblock 1"
Haiden Deegan's impressive career

Haiden Deegan is one of the most promising young motocross racers in today's time. The 19-year-old has cemented his status as a title contender by leading the Monster Energy 250 West championship by 12 points, ahead of his 19-year-old opponent Julien Beaumer.
Since making his professional debut at the Ironman in August 2022, Deegan has made a name for himself in the sport. His impressive racing career includes three SuperMotocross World Championship 250SMX wins and the 2023 AMA 250SX Rookie of the Year award. Deegan is currently racing for the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing squad's banner.

This is not surprising as it's in Deegan's blood to race. Having won 16 medals in various sports, including 12 in motocross and 4 in rally car racing, his father, Brian Deegan, is a renowned motocross racer and one of the most decorated sportsmen in X Games history and is also well recognized as a freestyle motocross pioneer.
After leaving NASCAR, his older sister Hailie Deegan has also achieved success in racing and is now a competitor in the 2025 Indy NXT series.
They also have a YouTube channel called 'The Deegans' with 1.4 million subscribers and more than 1000 videos.
