Christine Quinn has broken her silence about her much-talked-about split with estranged husband Christian Richard Dumontet. The reality TV star shared her side of the story, describing her experience as “dehumanizing” while talking to People.

“People really don't know this. I was hacked out of my entire life. I was stripped of my entire life overnight — I literally had nothing. And it was dehumanizing. I was completely resourceless.”

Christine and Christian married in 2019 but had a fallout in the following years. According to Page Six, Dumontet was arrested in March 2024 and charged with domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon. He was taken into custody and was papped in a bathrobe while being barefoot.

The authorities confirmed to Page Six that the suspect (Dumontet) allegedly threw “a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim (Christine).” They further added,

“The object [allegedly] hit the victim’s child causing injury.”

The former couple’s child, Christian Georges Dumontet, was reportedly injured, per Page Six. The outlet revealed that first responders arrived at the scene to treat the kid but later took him to the hospital. TMZ later confirmed that police offered the Selling Sunset alum “an emergency protective order” against her husband.

Christine Quinn’s husband was arrested twice before he filed for divorce

After his initial arrest due to the alleged domestic dispute, Christian Richard was apprehended a second time within 48 hours. An emergency protective order for Christine and her son was already in place for seven days, per TMZ. The outlet reported that Christian violated the order and was taken into custody again.

Weeks later, Quinn’s estranged husband filed for divorce in April 2024, which was first reported by TMZ. The outlet revealed that Christian had cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for his filing. He reportedly asked for “sole legal and physical custody” of their toddler son, Christian Georges.

Both partners also requested restraining orders against one another, with Christian claiming that his wife’s dogs were “a big source of their problems.” The court reportedly rejected the husband’s request, while the wife was granted a TRO.

In the filing, Dumontet had also claimed that he married Christine Quinn in 2021, instead of 2019. The wedding featured in Netflix’s Selling Sunset Season 3 was only meant for the TV.

Christine Quinn spoke about her experience after her split from Christian Dumontet

Recently, Quinn reflected upon her split with her estranged husband in a conversation with People. Speaking for the first time, the reality TV icon said,

“I haven't talked about this with anyone… Some people knew stuff was going on, but no one knew the extent of it in terms of how bad everything really was.”

Christine shifted to Texas with her son and told the magazine,

“I really didn't have a choice. I was granted an emergency protective order so my ex couldn't come to the house. He violated that, and would keep coming back.”

Christine Quinn mentioned switching places to live and facing financial challenges after being unable to access her personal accounts. Calling the experience “dehumanizing,” she told People about being “resourceless” following her split with Christian Dumontet.

She also shared about her experience of starting a new life in Texas.

“I am really, really grateful to be living here…”

She added,

“[It’s a blessing to] be close to my family. I have a sister who lives really close to me, and my son has a cousin. So it's really something that I needed as opposed to the chaos when I was in Los Angeles.”

In a previous interview with People, Christine Quinn had revealed that her son was a “nonverbal child” but became a “complete chatterbox” after they relocated.
