Ron Howard, 71, is Hollywood actress Bryce Dallas Howard's father. The 44-year-old Lady In The Water star was born to Ron and Cheryl Howard. The Howards are the parents of four kids, including Bryce Dallas, according to Wikipedia.
After around four decades of not acting, Ron made a grand comeback with his cameo on The Studio after wrapping up Happy Days in 1984.
In a recent conversation with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Bryce Dallas Howard shared her reaction to her father, Ron Howard, returning in front of the camera.
The actress reacted, saying,
"I was so nervous for him because he hasn't acted. He's done some stuff, like in Arrested Development, he's done some cameos here and there but [this was] like a real part with dialogue, and they're shooting it all with oners, so you cannot mess up."
Expressing how she felt knowing her dad's return to acting with the Apple TV+ series, she also added:
"And I was very nervous for him, so I went with him. I was like a momager. I went with him to set, and I liked what he was wearing, I approved of that."

Being a caring daughter, Bryce was indeed nervous and had different thoughts and feelings about Ron deciding to act after over 40 years.

Recalling the experience of seeing the director during a rehearsal, she added,
"He went and he did the rehearsal, and honestly, I was like, oh my God. He was so good. He was so on point, and everyone was just sort of baffled by it, frankly."
While chatting with Ron Howard and Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Bryce Dallas Howard also chimed in:
"I guess you have learned a bit from Tom Hanks over the years. And you were great before Tom Hanks, but he's like — he definitely rubbed off on you."
In addition to being careful and cautious of Ron entering a new landscape after a long time, she also "made sure he was hydrated" during the process.
This year, on March 26, the first two episodes of The Studio premiered on Apple TV+. Following the first release, new episodes premiered every Wednesday. The date for the season finale is May 21, 2025.
