The most prestigious accolade in the entertainment industry is being honored with the EGOT. For the unversed, it stands for the acronyms of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. While it takes celebrities decades to reach a pinnacle in the industry, some have achieved the feat in a comparatively shorter time.

The term was coined in 1984 by Philip Michael Thomas. While a few celebrities have managed to bag the EGOT, including Audrey Hepburn, Elton John, Viola Davis, and more, some are waiting in line with three out of the four honors in their name.
