Jonathan Majors has revealed that he has gotten married. The actor, known for his roles in Lovecraft Country and Da 5 Bloods, talked about his wife, Meagan Good during an appearance on Sherri on March 19.
“I said to Meagan yesterday, ‘Today might be the happiest day of my life.’ I love that woman so much,” he gushed.
Reflecting on the proposal and the wedding, Majors revealed that he asked Good's father for her hand in marriage when they were in Paris. “He said, ‘That’s cool,'” Majors jokingly recalled, adding that “it was a longer conversation [though].”
He then revealed that while “[eloping] was always the plan," the two decided to get married in a private ceremony with his mother, Terri Anderson-Mays, serving as the officiant. Good's mother, on the other hand, served as their sole witness.
Majors' mother, Terri Anderson-Mays is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). She has been working at Transicare, Inc., in Dallas, Texas, for the last decade. She earned her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University, as well as a Master of Divinity from Texan Christian University, allowing her to become a pastor.
Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good's relationship explored:
Jonathan Majors revealed that his and Good's wedding bands were engraved in Hawaii, though he didn't share further details. Their wedding ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 18, and during the interview, Majors said of his new bride:
“She just motivates me so much and she guides me. I guide her. I think Meagan and I do a good job of dealing with each other where we’re at and you don’t know anybody until you’ve been through all the seasons with them.”
An anonymous source also told People Magazine:
“They are very much in love. At Paige Hurd and Royce O’Neale’s engagement party in Studio City this past Saturday, they were smiling and happy. They were both glowing. She was introducing him to everyone as her fiancé. At one point, Meagan was sitting in his lap and you can tell they are both enamored.”
The couple first announced that they were engaged back in November when they made their appearance on the Ebony Power 100 red carpet. At the time, the actress was seen showing off her diamond engagement ring.
"We’re feeling great,” Good told People Magazine of the engagement at the time. Majors added: “It’s a season of joy." “It’s a season of all the good things,” she continued, with Majors adding, “Amen.”
The couple told E! News that they chose to reveal the news of their engagement at the gala because it's where they met for the first time, two years before that, "in the unisex bathroom." In July 2024, Good told People Magazine that she and her now-husband had “instant chemistry” when they met.
The duo were first linked romantically back in May 2023, when they were seen out on a date at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles. Good was previously married to DeVon Franklin for 10 years. They parted ways in 2022.
Reflecting on the lessons she learned from her relationship with Jonathan Majors, she told People Magazine in the past:
"This relationship has taught me about unconditional love. What it means to be loved in the fullness of who you are and to love someone who brings out the best in you."
Jonathan Majors is most known for his role as Kang the Conqueror in the 2023 film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. While he was reportedly slated to reprise his role in the forthcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, his conviction on two misdemeanor counts of reckless assault and harassment culminated in him being dropped by Marvel.
