Rugby player Stuart Hogg has been married to Gillian Smith since 2016.

Hogg split from Gillian in 2023, with his new romance with Mayor making public waves, days after his spouse gave birth to their fourth child in November. In November 2023, Hogg went public with Leonna Mayor. As per BBC, Smith and Hogg are currently in the process of divorce.

Hogg recently welcomed his new baby with his girlfriend, Leonna Mayor, six weeks after he was spared jail for domestic abuse. Mayor took to Instagram on February 21 to announce the birth of their child, Teddy John Hogg, on February 12. The post featured the baby sleeping tightly in a baby blue sweater and white beanie.

In the caption, the Mayor mentioned,

"So that was a BIG week...one that presented us with our little man Teddy John Hogg. A beautiful perfect bundle on 12/2/2025 at just 4lb 6oz. I've been in a baby bubble for a week and we ve been closely monitored and wonderfully cared for by the midwives here in Saint Roch hospital. He's feedling like a trooper and was allowed home on Wednesday."

She thanked her followers, family, and friends for their love and support.

More about the domestic abuse campaign against Stuart Hogg

Ex-Scotland rugby captain Stuart Hogg avoided jail for his domestic abuse campaign against estranged wife Gillian. Hogg reportedly berated Gillian for "not being fun" after going on booze binges with colleagues. He was also known to have anger issues, which left her scared and wishing "for it to be morning as soon as possible."

As per reports, Hogg bombarded Jillian with more than 200 texts within a few hours despite her telling him to leave her alone. Hogg was given a year's supervision by a sheriff and wasn't fined or forced to attend a rehabilitation project for his abuse against Smith. Hogg had admitted to shouting and swearing at his ex-partner, tracking her movements, and sending her alarming and distressing messages.

The rugby star is "set to be stripped" of his MBE following the domestic abuse campaign, with the SNP's Westminster leader Stephen Flynn noting that the Honours Secretariat is "firmly on the case." The player was awarded MBE in last year's New Year Honours list.

Despite his actions, Stuart Hogg remains one of Scotland's all-time leading try scorers, who played for Glasgow Warriors and Exeter Chiefs. Montpellier Rugby Club has not yet made an official statement acknowledging Hogg's current scenario. However, as per BBC, the club allegedly wants Hogg to continue playing for them.
