Steven Oleksy, 39, has shown support to his wife, Brooke Hogan, 36, amid her ongoing public rift with mother Linda Hogan. On March 29, 2025, former professional ice hockey defenseman Olesky posted a supportive statement on Instagram for his wife.
Previously, Linda had stated that Brooke, her daughter from ex-husband, Hulk Hogan, had lost touch with her, adding she has not had any contact with her daughter for around eight years.
However, Steven Oleksy's Instagram post in defense of his wife clearly shows his disagreement with mother-in-law's alleged claims.
Interestingly, instead of talking directly about Linda, the athlete referred to someone named "Jane Doe" as well as "individual" (the name and the word duly written with quotes marks) while addressing his mother-in-law's claims in his Instagram post.
Steven Oleksy defends Brooke Hogan and sticks by her during rough times
Steven Oleksy focused on different claims and allegations of Linda in his recent Instagram post and justified his points. He started his clarifications by mentioning:
"While there is little need to defend the character of my wife or myself, I feel compelled to acknowledge and validate the outpouring of support we've received over the past few days. My wife's post was not a plea for attention, sympathy or even support."
Olesky said that Linda's claims that his wife had not met her in eight years were false, as was the allegation that Linda had never met him. Taking a stand for his spouse, the ice hockey star further wrote:
"It was simply a response to the false claims that had been made about her — that she hadn't seen or spoken to her mother in eight years, that her mother had never met me, that we did not attend her father's wedding because of work, and a number of other things that fall well short of the truth."
Referring to his wife Brooke as the 'the most amazing person,' he continued:
"I cannot stand by and allow anyone to continue to hurt not only the most amazing person I am fortunate enough to call my wife, but also the distorted sense of power and relevance the media can sometimes grant individuals."
Steven Oleksy recalled and acknowledged the support that he and his wife have received from their close ones. The former sportsman added that the two of them were fortunate to be a part of the wonderful family, and stated:
"The support we've received and the people we are fortunate to have around us are a testament to who we are as a married couple. We are surrounded by an incredible family, both by blood and through the strong network of friends and supporters who stand by us."
.Steven Oleksy further wrote:
"The claim that my wife broke 'Jane Doe's’'collarbone was laughable to those who know the truth.” He added: “I myself have only had one sip of alcohol in my life, and that was to celebrate a Stanley Cup championship victory at the age of 32. My wife will have the occasional cocktail or glass of wine, but neither of us has ever used drugs or any other substance that may alter reality. So, it should be understood that the suggestion that my wife is a party girl or drunk comes shortly after the assertion that I had never met 'Jane Doe'nand that she didn't know my name — despite the fact that we had sat at the same lunch table and even took a picture together."
He went on to explain the reason why they had to get married without anyone knowing, sharing that it was neither his nor Brooke's intention to do so.
He elaborated:
"Unfortunately, it was the only viable option when another party involved said, ‘I don't do weddings or funerals anymore,’ which is perplexing, considering that same person has attended multiple weddings since then, and even had a wedding of their own."
Oleksy also defended his wife's character, and pointed out how "that individual" had repeatedly told Brooke that she has no bad bone in her body.
Recalling an incident from the past, Steven Oleksy highlighted the time when the couple offered to pay ticket fare and expenses for "this individual" to attend a Stevie Nicks concert. Oleksy said that the individual responded saying they had already seen Stevie Nicks' performing live before, and had no interest in attending concerts anymore. However, Steven recalled seeing the person going to different events, shows, and concerts later. Even after all these things, he wrote, Brooke simply overlooked the inconsistency in behavior and moved forward. While Brooke did what she thought was right, Oleksy saw her experiencing emotional turmoil.
Steven Oleksy also pointed out :
his wife was designing a home for "this individual purely out of kindness, for free" and had asked them to enjoy a sunset together.
However, the person had simply walked away without listening to her wishes.
Seeing all these interactions, Brooke took a significant decision. Oleksy shared:
"She asked to be removed from all future financial involvement, requesting her release from documents that had her in a substantial fiduciary and financial position once certain events transpired. She said to me, ‘If I can't have honesty and time with them, I don't want anything.'"
In every line of this long statement, Steven expressed love, affection, and support for his wife. He praised her for her professional growth, building a business, and empowering her life trajectory.
On the last page of his official statement, Steven Oleksy lauded Brooke Hogan for her desire and —
"relentless commitment to doing the right thing for the right reasons."
Oleksy further wrote:
"She is the truest, most genuine person many have ever met and loves hard, almost to a fault. When you love so hard, the more it hurts."
Steven concluded with the words:
"Keep spreading peace, love and positivity."
Brooke Hogan and Steven Oleksy got married secretly on June 8, 2022, in Orlando. According to a People Magazine report, they welcomed twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, on January 15, 2025.
