Sean Diddy Combs, one of the most popular rappers in the music industry, has been facing legal trouble for almost a year now. Multiple lawsuits have been filed against the rapper accusing him of s*x trafficking and racketeering. Amid his legal battles, Bow Wow has broken his silence and sided with the 54-year-old rapper. Following his statements in favor of Combs, netizens have widely criticized him.
Diddy's legal battle began last November after his former partner Cassie accused him of being abusive throughout their relationship. With time, several other women came out to file s*xual assault cases on him. Following the alleged lawsuits, he has been imprisoned since September 17.

Combs and Bow Wow share a close friendship, and the latter recently opened up about the allegations his mentor has been facing. During his appearance on the More To The Story podcast, Bow Wow claimed how Combs' imprisonment has affected him and the music industry. Sharing his disbelief, he said, "It ain't supposed to end like this." The Like You rapper also focused on the parties that Diddy used to throw after major events, including award shows.
Calling the imprisoned rapper the "gatekeeper" of the music industry:
"How monumental and how important he was to the culture." The rapper added, "Because I said, Jermaine [Dupri], there’s no parties. Every year, dude [Diddy] had the [parties]. And you feel it. It’s like a hole. It’s like, ‘damn, we ain’t going.…he was everything. Hip hop, you know what I mean?"

Following Bow Wow's take on the allegations that the rapper is facing, social media is rife with people criticizing Bow Wow for supporting the I'll Be Missing You rapper.
An X (formerly Twitter) user wrote,
"Bet so ty $,bow,...who's next to defend the offender?"
Another claimed that Bow Wow should have never said anything in favor of Combs:
"He could have kept that in draft."
One also reminded Bow Wow that saying "no comment" to such controversies is easy.
For the unversed, Bow Wow and Diddy have often worked together. One of their most popular tracks is Let's Get Down. Along with working together, the two allegedly formed a close bond as the latter became a mentor to Bow Wow and also influenced his journey in the industry.
