Who is Role Model? Real name and all we know as Dylan Minnette features as Sally during singer’s LA show

Dylan Minnette just stepped in as Sally Diva for Role Model's popular track Sally during the latter's show in Los Angeles last night, and fans are ecstatic.

Role Model was performing at The Wiltern in LA last night when he told the audience he'd be bringing Sally out while playing his popular song of the same name. However, fans were treated to a surprise when Dylan Minnette of The Wallows came out instead.

Role Model, born Tucker Pillsbury, released his debut EP back in 2017, and since then has worked with several pop artists and held shows at some of the biggest venues, though he is also known for having dated Emma Chamberlain.

The pair made their debut as a couple when they walked the red carpet together at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. However, it was only a year later that they made their relationship official. Nonetheless, as reported by People magazine, the pair parted ways in October 2023, after dating for more than three years.

Alternative rock band The Wallows' latest EP, More, dropped this Friday. The band features Braeden Lemasters, Dylan Minnette, and Cole Preston. The 13 Reasons Why star decided to quit acting when it began to feel like “just a job,” and instead decided to pursue music full time.

Speaking on the Zach Sang Show in May 2024, Dylan Minnette said:

“I was fortunate to find success in it — I was on ’13 Reasons Why’ and it was really popular and definitely reached a peak so far in what I’ve had in acting. But it also started to feel like a bit of a job. I was in a very fortunate position where it was always fun for me, always really inspiring, but then … it was just starting to feel like just a job.”

He explained that his music and band reflects

a “passion that we’ve always had as a group to really take all the way, as far as we can.”

He further said:

“I feel like I’m in a position now where I can just kind of like do that for a while and … get this the farthest it can be.” Minnette added: “The only way that’s gonna happen is if I put my 100% time and energy into it and take it very seriously and show the world that we all take this very seriously.”
