Robert Irwin is the son of late Australian conservationist and television personality Steve Irwin. Steve, who shared Robert with his wife Terri Irwin, was also known as The Crocodile Hunter. Robert has spent most of his life at the Australia Zoo where he and his sister Bindi were also homeschooled.

Born on December 1, 2003, Robert followed in his father's footsteps and worked at the zoo. His entire family has dedicated most of their lives to wildlife. Along with his sister, he also grew up taking care of nature and animals.

Robert Irwin's first television appearance came a month after he was born as his father held him in one hand while feeding a chicken to a crocodile with another. He is now a photographer of the wildlife at the zoo and his website has beautiful pictures of animals that he took. Besides wildlife, he is also fond of capturing serene landscapes with his camera.

He was only 13 years old when his work was first highlighted. Since then, he has been recognized as a celebrated photographer and a television personality. As a teenager, he has also appeared on the popular talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon several times. Every time, he managed to amaze host Jimmy Fallon by bringing some company from the zoo.

Last year, Robert also unveiled his father Steve's wax figure at Madame Tussauds. He got emotional seeing his father's life-like statue.

Robert Irwin shares a fond childhood memory with his late father

Robert Irwin was only two years old when his father Steve Irwin passed away after a fatal and unprovoked stingray attack in 2006. Steve was often photographed enjoying his time as a father while working at the zoo. Recently, Robert shared a fond memory of his father as he rode the latter's bike around the zoo.

Taking to his social media handles, Robert shared a video of him going around the zoo to harvest some fruits and nuts for his lunch. After walking for a while, he said that he needed his motorbike.

"Business is not fast enough for me, so let's get the motorbike."

He then gave his fans a glimpse of the motorbike and shared how his late father used it to show him and his sister around the zoo.

"It's also very nostalgic, this bike. Dad used to take my sister and I around the zoo. He used to go around, and we'd pick fruit and macadamia nuts."

He also shared some photos of his father.

Robert's fans took the comment section by storm as they lauded him for taking his father's legacy forward. An Instagram user called the Irwin Family "Aussie Royalty," while another told Robert how he is "so much like your dad. Your mannerisms and your beautiful nature."

He also shared some fun anecdotes about the sugarcane field from his childhood and asked the viewers not to tell anything about it to his mother.
