Emilia Torello, Paul Teal’s girlfriend, is a film and theatre artist from Wilmington, North Carolina. She has appeared in several movies and TV Series, including Outer Banks and The Summer I Turned Pretty.
The actor has paid a heartfelt tribute to her boyfriend in a social media post, who passed away on November 15. In the post, she remembered him as “the most thoughtful, inspiring, driven, self-disciplined, loving man.” She added that he was her “soulmate” and “soon-to-be husband” and was taken too soon from the world.
Emilia and Paul met during the production of Disney’s musical - Newsies in 2022. Emilia shared a few pictures from the play later that year, which confirmed that relationship status.
In an interview with TMZ, Emilia revealed the cause of her fiancé’s death as he survived for seven months after being diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer in April. He died in a hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Torello has appeared as the lead actor in several films like The Friend (2024) where she plays “Charlie,” a haunted girl trapped by her demons. The short film is directed by the award-winning director Josh Minyard. She was also cast in another short - Lucky Jo (2024), where she plays “Cari Ford,” a romantic girl who is seeking her love interest, and in MegaBoa(2022).
Paul's relationship with his partner, Emilia Torello, only lasted for 2 years. The duo shared a loving relationship, evident from Torello’s social media which consists of several pictures from their blissful past.
Torello’s emotional tribute to her fiancée sparked many condolences from fans and loved ones who offered her their love and prayers. They wrote that she had honored his fight most beautifully. Others mentioned that she was lucky to have him in her life and that he was a wonderful soul.
