The post's caption read,

We are excited to announce Paul Sparks (BOARDWALK EMPIRE, LOST ON A MOUNTAIN IN MAINE) has joined Brian J. Smith as a member of the GRANGEVILLE cast, replacing Brendan Fraser, who has had to step away due to unforeseen circumstances.

As announced earlier by Signature Theatre, Fraser was supposed to play Jerry, the older brother in the movie, until he had to step down due to unforeseen circumstances. The show, directed by Jack Serio, will run from February 4 to March 16, 2025, at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre in New York City. Joining Paul Sparks is the talented Brian D. Smith, who plays the younger brother Arnold.

Grangeville

The play is named after the city of Grangeville in which it is set. It follows the story of two half-brothers who reconnect over their ailing mother. Jack is the elder brother who stays back in the city of Grangeville in the state of Idaho. In contrast, the brother, Arnold, is an artist living in Rotterdam who is being pulled back because of the family's tumultuous history. According to the Signature Theatre website, it states:

"Across a void of thousands of miles and oceans of hurt, two half-brothers tentatively reconnect over the care of their ailing mother."

It is also mentioned,

"Grangeville is a new play about the fallibility of memory, the stories we tell to make sense of our suffering, and the complexity of forgiveness."
