More about Nick Moran, as actor undergoes spinal surgery

Nick Moran is best known for his appearances in Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Musketeer, Nemesis, New Blood, and Buddy's Song, among other works. His actor-producer friend Terry Stone, who hosts the The Criminal Connection Podcast, revealed details about Moran's surgery in an exclusive interview with The Daily Mail. In the Interview, Stone shared updates about Moran's recovery process, saying:

"He's speaking now, which is a good sign, but he's shuffling around like a 100-year-old and has a neck brace on and taking it easy."

In the interview, Stone continued that the actor had been suffering from a pain in his neck for some time but kept ignoring until it became unbearable, forcing him to visit the doctor on advice of his girlfriend.

Stone added:

"I spoke to one of his family members, and he damaged his neck somehow, and it's affecting his spinal cord and some of the things that operate your speech and your legs."

Explaining more about Nick Moran's procedure and the situation before the surgery, the producer said:

"He's recovering but [doctors] basically said [ahead of surgery] that he might never walk or talk again, which was traumatic. He's not in the best of health, but when he came out of the operation I was like "thank god" because I think he'd decided he'd rather not walk or talk than die."

Nick Moran's condition required him to have four bones in his spine replaced by artificial bones, making the surgery extremely complex:

"They had to replace [bones in his neck] with artificial bone, it was micro surgery and because there's so many nerves around the neck and spine this made the operation tricky with those awful chances of not being able to speak or walk again."

Nick Moran is a private person with little to no social media presence. Therefore, his friend posted an update on Instagram on April 11, informing fans and well wishers about his health, but later deleted the post. In the post, he also shared a picture where Moran is seen giving a thumbs up gesture to the camera. In the caption, he wrote:

"News update for you all on Nick Moran. He's had major surgery and is recovering in the ICU he's giving us the thumbs up but still needs your support, prayers & love. Let's pray he fully recovers and is be back to normal soon."

The post further read:

"We did a fantastic podcast together a few months back. Nick is very private and isn't on social media he did ours as an exclusive & you can all tune in to watch us together this Sunday at 6pm. If there are any further updates on Nick I will let you all know in the live chat this coming Sunday."

Nick Moran is now in complete rest, as he embarks on a journey to full recovery.

The first episode of The Criminal Connection Podcast premieres on Sunday.
