Former Teen Mom 2 star and Jenelle Evans' ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith is back in the news after his recent arrest for alleged strangulation of now-ex-girlfriend Anastasia Biddle. Nathan Griffith was part of the reality tv show, Teen Mom 2, from 2013 to 2015. The program at that time chronicled his relationship with Evans.

Griffith has previously made headlines for his on and off romance with Evans, his backstory features military service, mental health problems and several legal controversies. Nathan Griffith was a member of the US Marine Corps before his entry into the reality tv genre.

He was sent to Afghanistan, where he experienced severe trauma. In previous interviews, Griffith discussed the horrors of war, remembering times when he had to pick up body parts and deliver them to families.

He stated that these memories still haunt him and have led to his diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

"I guarantee you, most people who had to do what we did in Afghanistan wouldn't survive." He said in an interview with The Sun.

Griffith has alleged the conditions made him disabled and have negatively impacted his ability to have a job or sustain relationships. He has also stated that after serving in the military and appearing on Teen Mom, the social media attention made it worse for him to lead a simple life.

According to Nathan’s Instagram bio, he is now a personal trainer and an ex Marine. He is the founder and owner of Alpha Ego.

More about Nathan Griffith’s recent legal troubles and probation violation following his exit from Teen Mom

Nathan's most recent arrest came on April 23, 2025 when he was arrested for domestic battery by strangulation. He was already on probation due to him strangling his sister in 2023.

Under the terms of his probation from Nevada’s Veterans Court programme, Griffith was ordered to attend rehab and adhere to strict conditions such as no excess drinking or taking illicit drugs. According to the reports, violation of these conditions could carry a four-year prison term.

Griffith was held in Las Vegas after his arrest and is still in custody. An appearance before the Queens judge overseeing his probation is scheduled for Thursday afternoon, and another court hearing on the case is scheduled for May 6, at which the judge could decide to revoke his probation and send him to prison.

Amidst the ongoing controversy, Teen Mom alum Jenelle Evans, has expressed her support for Griffith. The duo share a son, Kaiser, together. Evans had lived with Griffith for several years in the past, but never got married to each other.

Jenelle Evans posted about the three of them staying together just days before he was arrested. Evans alleges that he hadn’t seen Kaiser in more than two years, Griffith reached out to her asking for help, stating that he was going to be arrested, to which she offered him Kaiser’s bed, saying, “Because I have a big heart.”
