The Beetles' singer-songwriter Bob Dylan took to X to post an ominous tweet directed at a woman named Mary Jo to wish her for her birthday on Tuesday evening. On X, with a cult following of over 422,000 fans, the musician wished this mysterious woman and told her he'd see her in Frankfort. He tweeted,

"Happy Birthday Mary Jo! See you in Frankfort."

With virtually no added context provided, fans are teeming with curiosity about the identity of this woman and why the two are meeting in the capital of Kentucky.

Fans grow inquisitive about Bob Dylan's mysterious tweet

Several inquisitive users took to X to beckon further information out of the singer, to no avail. "Who is Mary Jo!?" one user exclaimed.

Others echoed the sentiments, eager to learn more about this woman, while others jokingly wished it were them the musician was wishing.

"Never before in my life have I wanted my name to be something else," one user joked.
"Well, now I want a birthday shoutout from Bob Dylan (on October 19th, in case you were wondering, Bob)," one user shared.
"My name is Mary Jo! But it's not my birthday... :(," one user stated.

Soon, more and more comments poured in, all of which had one theme in common: just who is this woman named Mary Jo?

"See you in Liverpool soon Bob. Bring Mary Jo with you," one user stated.
"Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones birthday today.. Some kind of connection? M.. Jo.. Birthday on the same day. Things Have Changed," another speculated.
"Tweet of the year, right here. When it comes to words, the man can do no wrong. Bless you sir, and Mary Jo, wherever she might be," another wished.
"Changing my name to Mary Jo and packing for Frankfort," someone joked.

While the account may be in his name, the musician doesn't have complete reign over the account himself. Instead, his team equips the account to promote his upcoming tours and releases. The only time Dylan actually takes to tweeting is when it is to commiserate the death of a loved one, such as Robbie Robertson, or to wish this mysterious woman named Mary Jo a happy birthday.

Prior to the birthday wish, the account was used only twice this year. The first was to announce the 1974 live recordings box set; the other was about a digital re-release of the Concert for Bangladesh and was a repost from the official Beatles account. It is unclear if the birthday wish came from Bob Dylan himself or from his team.

Bob Dylan is touring Europe this October. He will perform at three concerts at the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt, Germany.
