Comedian and actor Marlon Wayans has hit back at rapper Soulja Boy, after the latter attacked the actor's trans son, Kai.

The "Scary Movie" actor, who has shown his constant love and support for his son has actually been at odds with the rapper since earlier this year.

Who is Marlon Wayans' son, Kai?

Kai, born as Amai to parents Marlon Wayans and his former partner, Angela Zackery, later transitioned to Kai. They have attended many public events with his father and younger brother.

During his appearance on The Breakfast Club radio show, the actor revealed about his son's transition and explained how he is doing everything to support Kai on his journey.

"I have a daughter that transitioned into a son. My daughter Amai is now Kai. And so I talk about the transition. Not their transition, but my transition as a parent, going from ignorance and denial to complete unconditional love and acceptance. And I think there’s a lot of parents out there that need to have that message. And I’m dealing with it. It was a very painful situation for me,” Wayans shared.

The actor further added:

“I gotta respect their wishes and as a parent I just want my kids to be free – free in spirit, free in thought, free to be themselves.

Last year, Wayans appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and talked about how Kai was the same person as before, adding that the journey to acceptance has been a beautiful and fulfilling one.

“ They are the same child they were before — they just got a beard now."

The actor has consistently shown support for his son and his feud with Soulja Boyish part of his attempt to protect his son, from the rapper's hateful comments.

How did Marlon Wayans get involved in a feud with Soulja Boy?

The clash between the two ignited after Wayans called out Soulja Boy, for his performance at Donald Trump's second inauguration.

Later in a conversation with 101.1WIZ-FM, Marlon said:

“I mean Soulja Boy, he been canceled, nobody cares about Soulja Boy. So Soulja Boy better go and get that check… He don’t care… I think they thought it was a Bitcoin event, and they found out it was a ball for him, and it was too late to pull out. But you know, that’s why you’ve got to check the fine print.”

In response, Soulja Boy tweeted a screenshot of two articles discussing Wayans embracing his child's sexual orientation. The rapper captioned the tweet:

"That f***ot s**t run in the family huh? @MarlonWayans no wonder u like dressing up as a b**ch it’s in ur blood.”

Wayans replied to this by tweeting:

"If @souljaboy had a career he could get canceled for this type of slander. Luckily he ain’t been relevant since 2007.”

The comedian took a further dig at the rapper by writing:

"Hey @souljaboy My child had top surgery and still has more chest than you.”

The two have been going back and forth, with the rapper's latest tweet taking a jab at the actor's role in the movie White Chicks.

“I can’t believe I’m arguing with a n***a that dressed up like a white b*tch wtf is wrong with me,” Soulja tweeted.

The "Crank That" singer followed-up with another post, by tweeting, “Ain’t yo son a tranny that suck d**k? @MarlonWayans.

Once again, the comedian responded to Soulja Boy's tweet by sharing a TMZ reel titled, Exclusive: Marlon Wayans Soulja Boy's beef inspiring new 'Scary Movie' role...Need a 'Creth-Head!!!

The caption of the tweet reads:

"Exclusive In the post's caption, the comedian said that Soulja can go back to "irrelevancy".

The actor has also tweeted, implying that the rapper is a drug user while mocking the appearance of his teeth.
