Mark Hampton, husband of actress Christina Ricci, made an appearance with his family while supporting his wife, who recently got her Hollywood Walk of Fame star. At the ceremony honoring Ricci on March 6, Hampton was present with the couple’s two children and could be seen posing happily alongside his family.
Mark Hampton was with his wife every step of the way as her wide-ranging career in Hollywood was honored. He also received a special mention in her speech when the Wednesday fame star said,
“Mark, you’re the most supportive and loving husband.”
Hampton is a British-born hairstylist who has woven magic with many a celebrity’s hair, be it for red carpet appearances or for magazine shoots. According to People Magazine, the hairdresser got his start as an apprentice in a Vidal Sassoon salon.
Hampton grew up in Wales and worked in London before shifting base to New York City. As per Wales Online, the hairstylist has worked with celebrities such as Léa Seydoux, Natalie Dormer, and Diane Kruger. His Instagram page showcases the work he has done with popular actors such as Suki Waterhouse, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, and Jon Gries. Hampton has also styled hair for photoshoots with publications such as Teen Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar Japan, and brands like Marc Jacobs.
Mark Hampton’s relationship with Christina Ricci
Christine Ricci, who is known for her iconic roles in The Addams Family and Yellowjackets, married her second husband, Mark Hampton in October 2021. Previously, Ricci was married to James Heerdegen from 2013 to 2021.
Heerdegen, who is a cinematographer, was accused of physical and emotional abuse by Ricci, according to People Magazine. Ricci was granted a divorce and full custody of the couple’s son, Freddie, in 2021.
A few months later, Ricci introduced the world to her new partner, Mark Hampton, via an Instagram birthday wish for the hairstylist. She described Hampton as
“favorite person, gorgeous human, bringer of all things happy, magical and good.”
Soon, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. In October 2021, before the arrival of their daughter, Ricci and Hampton stated that they had gotten married. They made the announcement on Instagram, calling themselves “Mr. and Mrs.”
The couple’s daughter, Cleo, was born in December 2021. Ricci’s happiness was palpable as she announced,
"Baby Cleo is here, we are so in love with her, also she has the most incredible dad imaginable @markhamptonhair”
Ricci has described her relationship with Hampton as one that is “healthy.” In a July 2022 episode of the Anna Faris Is Unqualified podcast, the actress confessed about her marriage with Hampton.

And that's why like I didn't want to say it because it sounds really like, oh, that's really cool…But it really truly, I think that a lot of my relationships in the past had a lot to do with unhealthy things that I was looking for. And I don't know if you can call love, but I don't think things that aren't good for you should be called love.”
Ricci, who recently appeared in the Hulu documentary Child Stars, was seen trying to rein in her daughter Cleo for a photo with her at the Walk of Fame ceremony as the little one ran around in a carefree manner. The family seemed picture perfect as Hampton stood nearby embracing Freddie, while the two happily looked on at Ricci and Cleo.
