Canadian model and actress Dayle Haddon passed away on Friday, December 28, in Solebury Township, Pennsylvania. Dayle Haddon was in her daughter Ryan and son-in-law Marc Blucas’ house when she tragically died due to a suspected carbon monoxide leak.

As per the official report shared by Solebury Township Police Department, Marcus’ father is the second victim of the leak. An update to the incident happened at Solebury Township house reads,

“The carbon monoxide leak, which occurred on December 27, 2024, in the 6900 block of Phillips Mill Road, tragically claimed the life of Dayle Haddon,76, of New York, NY. The second victim, who is currently hospitalized in critical condition has been identified as Walter J. Blucas, 76, of Erie.PA.”

It continues,

“The investigation indicates a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak. The officers and members of the Solebury Township Police Department wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Haddon and Blucas families.”

A look at the career of late Dayle Haddon’s son-in-law Marc Blucas

After his brief stint as a professional basketball player, Marc Blucas landed his first-ever acting role in 1995 for CBS’ TV movie Inflammable. Throughout his three-decade-long acting career, he appeared in many notable TV shows and movies. In 1996, Blucas played “Basketball Hero” in the critically acclaimed teen fantasy comedy-drama Pleasantville.

The 52-year-old’s one of the most well-known characters was Riley Finn on Joss Whedon’s iconic supernatural drama, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The authorities found Dayle Haddon deceased in a second-floor bedroom of the Pennsylvania home. At the same time, Walter Blucas was discovered passed out on the first floor. Sharing the news of Dayle Haddon’s demise on Instagram, her daughter Ryan shared an Instagram post dedicated to her. Penning a farewell message to her mother, Ryan wrote,

“The bright light that is Dayle has dimmed in this Earthly realm. Shining somewhere as radiantly as ever where it’s most needed, I have no doubt. – She was a woman in her power, yet soft and attentive to all. Deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty inside and out. Always kind and thoughtful.”

She added,

“I always trust the timing of things. There are no accidents and certainly how we enter and exit this world is mystical and unknowable. She was a high-hearted spiritual being that put value on her soul’s evolution, so I know her journey here in this dimension must have been complete. –I honor her. I bow to her. I revere all the paths and adventures taken. I saw her be golden and always reach for the Light in all areas of her life.”
