He further elaborated on a heartfelt story of how Tobillo chose them. She was found by his wife, Vanessa, on a beach while she was in the Dominican Republic. The word "Tobillo" means "ankle" in Spanish, and there is a story behind the name. Tobillo started playing around Vanessa's beach chair, followed by a quick peck on Vanessa's foot. It was at that moment the family knew they had found their newest addition.

Miranda also mentioned Tobillo's personality quirks that made the entire family love her even more. He recalled that Tobillo used to dig through the warm sand until she found cold mud, as a survival instinct. The post reflects the fact that Tobillo was a loyal companion to Miranda and often accompanied him and his wife on walks. He also thanked the Veterinary Emergency Group for providing love and care to Tobillo in her last days. The post beautifully captured how close Tobillo was to Miranda and his wife.
