In a series of posts and comments on Threads, Greene, who released her single Cinderella Story in 2023, opened up to fans about Styles not wanting to have kids with her. According to Ice Cream Conversations, Greene wrote:

“Having 2 kids by a man that never wanted me to have his kids gotta be the most hurtful shit ever, and he’s constantly reminding me he never wanted this life with me…Mind you I have spent 8 years of my life with this same man.”

In response to a comment on her post, Greene wrote about having her first child, Lyrix, saying:

“My first was actually planned and manifested, by us both.”

As per Ice Cream Conversations, Greene clarified:

"The man wanted the kids until it actually happened!… Men will sell you a fairytale. Let’s not forget that.”

Greene also responded to a fan who sympathized with the singer and shared her own story of being abandoned while pregnant. Greene responded to the fan in comments, writing:

“So sorry you are going thru this. pregnancy is hard enough, and to feel like you are in it alone is the worst. I pray for your healing! Your baby is worth it all!!”

Meanwhile, Golden Styles had posted an image with Greene before the birth of their son, writing:

“Time can't get here quick enough”

In a 2024 interview with Sheen Magazine, Greene also spoke candidly about Styles, and his importance during the early part of the singer’s career. She said:

“Me and my child’s father, we go way back. I met him when I was homeless and going through it. He was a producer in the city already, so he worked with all the local artists. I had never really took singing serious, it was just something that I always loved to do. He was the first person outside of my family to say ‘Yo, you’re really dope. You can really sing and you can really make a living out of this.’”

While talking about her son, Layton Greene revealed what changed in her life when she found out she was pregnant. Greene said:

"Before I found out was pregnant with him, I was really in a deep dark space. When I found out I was pregnant, I’m like, ‘God, what you doing? What’s going on? This has gotta be a joke.’ Because I was on the edge, but God obviously knew what I needed.”

Meanwhile, fans of Layton Greene, whose Leave Em Alone was certified platinum in 2021, are waiting for what’s next from the acclaimed R&B singer.
