Who is Kristen Stewart’s partner Dylan Meyer? All about the actress’s screenwriter fiancée as the couple ties the knot

Twilight fame Kristen Stewart has reportedly tied the knot with her longtime fiancée, Dylan Meyer. The couple got married on April 20 at a small and intimate ceremony at their residence in Los Angeles, reported TMZ. As per the outlet, the couple got their marriage license on Tuesday from the Los Angeles County courthouse.

Dylan Meyer is a screenwriter, actress, and producer. Meyer, the daughter of novelist and Hollywood screenwriter Nicholas Meyer, began her career in the entertainment industry by featuring as an actor in short films. After writing for a short film, Loose Ends, in 2015, Meyer co-wrote the Sarah Hyland starrer, XOXO, which she also executive produced, according to Elle.

Meyer’s screenwriting credits include two episodes of a science fiction series, Miss 2059, and another short film, Rock Bottom. Meyer also wrote the screenplay for 2021’s Moxie, which was directed by and featured comedian Amy Poehler.

In 2023, Meyer was seen supporting the writers’ guild strike. She took to Instagram to write,

“You may not know this but we (the writers) have struck because The Man is trying to get us down. Without writers, your movies and tv shows will suck. Trust. Our fight for fair wages is so important we’ve been forced to walk around and wave signs about it - and we need your support!”

In early 2024, Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer established Nevermind Pictures, a production company alongside producer Maggie McLean, as per Variety. Later that year, Nevermind Pictures signed a first-look, multi-year deal with Fremantle, as per the outlet.

Meyer, under the banner of Nevermind Pictures, produced Kristen Stewart’s feature film directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, which starred Imogen Poots, as per Variety. The outlet also reported that the film might be headed to the Cannes Film Festival in 2025.

In February 2025, Variety shared that Meyer would be directing her first feature-length film, titled The Wrong Girls, in which Stewart is set to star alongside Alia Shawkat.

Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer’s relationship explored

Clouds of Sils Maria’s Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer met on the sets of American Ultra, a 2015 film in which Stewart starred. However, Stewart and Meyer were both involved with other people at the time, according to a conversation between Rolling Stone and Stewart. As per the actress, she ran into Meyer six years later again, and upon discovering that she had accidentally missed Meyer’s attempt at connecting over email, she pursued a relationship with the screenwriter. About missing Meyer’s email, she said,

“It was my fault, for sure. But then I very much made this [relationship] happen. I was intense, because I was just positive.”

It was Meyer who first announced her relationship with Stewart in 2019, with a social media post of the couple kissing. She captioned the post:

"Find me under the covers hiding from the happiness police.”

The same year, Kristen Stewart, in a conversation with Howard Stern, revealed how she told Meyer she loved her. Stewart said,

“The first time I told her I loved her, I was just like, it was like really late and we were in some like sh*tty bar and her friends were there or whatever and they like walked out and I was just like, ‘oh man I'm so f***ing in love with you like, done,’ it wasn't like a thing and it also it was like so obvious”

During another conversation with Stern on his The Howard Stern Show in 2021, Stewart revealed that she and Meyer were engaged. According to US Weekly, Stewart said,

“We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it. I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. We’re marrying, it’s happening.”

Kristen Stewart has previously expressed her desire to have children. She certainly has taken the next step in her dreams of starting a family with Meyer.
