Who is Kelsey Merritt? Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford and the Victoria’s Secret model seemingly confirm romance rumors

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has confirmed her relationship with Filipino-American Victoria's Secret model Kelsey Merritt. The two were seen stepping out for a shopping trip and kissing in New York City on April 18.

Kelsey is the first person of Filipino descent to walk in a Victoria's Secret show, and has been associated with Heart Evangelista and J.Lo. Merritt is signed with major modelling agencies from all over the world, including Supreme, Women Management Milan, Wilhelmina, and Nomad.

Merritt was born and raised in Pampanga, Philippines. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication from Ateneo de Manila University. Kelsey reportedly used the money she earned from working as a freelance model to fund the degree.

Merritt's father is of German, French, and Irish descent, while her mother is from the Philippines. When Merritt was 17, she was discovered on Instagram by an executive at Wilhelmina modelling agency. This opportunity took her to New York, giving her her big break.

Merritt walked in the Victoria's Secret Show in 2018, and took to Instagram to announce the news, saying,

"We did it, Philippines. What an honor it is to be the first Filipino to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2018! I can't believe this!"

In 2023, Kelsey Merritt was reportedly spotted with James Marsden. She has also been romantically linked with Glen Powell, Jared Leto, and Olympic swimmer Conor Dwyer.

Chace Crawford and Kelsey Merritt seemed to confirm their romance after they were spotted kissing in NYC on April 18. The two initially sparked relationship rumors after they were spotted enjoying a day together in Los Angeles in January. In a December 2024 episode of Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast, Crawford mentioned that he's ready to date.

Cooper, while mentioning what he looks for in a partner, went on to say that he had joined the invite-only dating app, Raya.

"Everyone told me not to do it, so I think I had a few drinks one night and I was like, 'I'm doing it.'"

However, he didn't have much success on the app, and the only "connection" he had was in Indonesia, and he mentioned that he doesn't have plans to go to Bali.

Crawford also added,

"I like to cook, so I do like to cook for girls. I'm a homebody, so I really like to focus on (being) very thoughtful. I feel like I'm a thoughtful person."

Both Chace Crawford and Kelsey Merritt have yet to confirm the news of their alleged relationship.
