American singer Kalenna Harper appears to have rapper Diddy’s back. The rapper was sued by singer Dawn Richard, who accused him of emotional and sexual abuse, not only towards her but also his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Richard reportedly referenced Kalenna Harper in the lawsuit, claiming she had also witnessed Diddy’s abusive behavior.

However, Harper denied the allegation, saying it did not reflect her experience. Taking to her Instagram story on September 13, 2024, Kalenna Harper wrote:

“I, acknowledge the recent lawsuit filed by Dawn Richard in which my name has been mentioned 33 times. While I fully respect Dawn's right to recount her experiences, I want to emphasize that her account reflects her personal perspective and should not be interpreted as a universal truth applicable to everyone involved.”

The post continued with:

“It's important to understand that while I was present in some of the same professional settings mentioned, many of the allegations and incidents described in this suit are not representative of my experiences, and some do not align with my own truth.”

Kalenna Harper also mentioned her husband Tony Vick in the post

. She emphasized that she and Tony upheld the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, stating they were neither involved in nor aware of any behavior that could be seen as abusive or unlawful.

Tony Vick is a record producer and was a supporting cast member on the third and fourth seasons of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. He was also a talent manager, and one of his clients was his wife. Vick has ten children from relationships with seven different women. Harper and he welcomed their daughter in 2016.

Kalenna Harper had defended Diddy amidst the previous allegations

On May 28, 2024, Rolling Stone published an exclusive piece that explored Diddy’s history of violence. The report, which included statements from producers and high-profile individuals, discussed the allegations and lawsuits that the singer had faced up to that time. However, it also mentioned how Kalenna Harper disagreed with the ongoing rhetoric.

The report pointed out that one of the highlights of Harper’s life was joining the Diddy-Dirty Money group in 2009 and later working with him on The Love Album. She described him as exceptionally impressive and suggested that artists who criticized Diddy might be experiencing what she referred to as "disgruntled employee syndrome."

In an interview with djvlad in 2015, Kalenna Harper said Diddy was her superhero and he-man whom she thought was the coolest brown-skinned guy. She said:

“Puff owes me nothing, you know what I mean. He didn’t cheat me out of anything. If anything, he treated me better than he probably ever has treated anyone in his life. You know what I mean. It was basically like princess status like you know this $10,000 shoes, the furs, the jets, the whatever you want, let’s get this album done, I am going to take care of you and make sure you are good and I just love him for it.”

Harper, in her Instagram story, also mentioned that given the ongoing legal proceedings, she would avoid discussing specific details. She expressed confidence that the legal system would address the case with fairness and thoroughness.
