In a new interview, Kalenna Harper defended her old boss while calling out his ex, Cassie Ventura, and former bandmate Dawn Richard.
Harper was a part of the American band Diddy Dirty Money, which comprised R&B singers Dawn Richard, Kalenna Harper, and rapper Sean Combs. She was nominated for the Best Group at the BET Awards in 2010 when she was a part of Diddy Dirty Money. She was also seen in Welcome to St. Tropez, DJ Antoine's single released in 2011.
Speaking about Ventura’s carefree lifestyle to Breakbeat Media,
"I saw Cassie grow up from a little girl that was willing to, like, give everybody, you know, lap dances, basically. You know, get drunk and just have a good, like, model time," said the singer.
Cassie sued Sean Combs of r*pe and decades-long abuse on November 16, 2023, which began when she was only 19 years old. S*x trafficking, human trafficking, s*xual battery, s*xual assault, and gender-motivated violence were among other kinds of assaults alleged by the R&B singer.
Kalenna further accuses her former bandmate Dawn and calls her a “weird b**ch.” She refuted the claims made by Dawn when she filed a lawsuit against Diddy for physical abuse, alleging that Kalena Harper was 33 times a witness.
“I don’t f**k with Dawn like that.”
Harper added,
“And I’m going to f**king stand on business, I didn’t see any of that. What I saw was, ‘what the f**k is going on with you, because you’re acting weird, you’re a weird bi**h,’ is what I see. And it’s a list of ni**as, where y’all at, talk about it. Dawn’s a weird motherf**ker, man!”
When Kalenna Harper denied Dawn Richard's claims
According to Dawn Richard’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, Sean Combs “tampered with the witnesses” once he became aware of Richard Dawn’s lawsuit. She further alleged that Diddy called Harper over 100 times after the lawsuit dropped.
“I don’t know if he offered her something, or if he scared her, or what happened. But he’s tampering with witnesses. And then [sic] judge essentially said he needs to be behind bars because we can’t have witnesses tampered with.” Bloom revealed.
In September 2024, Harper defended her friend Diddy when Dawn charged him with several allegations. In his defense, Harper said:
“I, acknowledge the recent lawsuit filed by Dawn Richard in which my name has been mentioned 33 times. While I fully respect Dawn’s right to recount her experiences, l want to emphasize that her account reflects her personal perspective and should not be interpreted as a universal truth applicable to everyone involved.”
Distancing herself from Richard's claims, the Hello Good Morning singer said that she said that her statement does not align with her truth.
As of now, Diddy remains held at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center. His legal team was denied bail twice.
