John Lennon, the late founder, co-lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist of the iconic band, the Beatles, was the father of two sons, Julian Lennon, 62, and Sean Ono Lennon, 49.

On December 8, 1980, the legendary musician died at the age of 40 after he was shot right outside his home at New York's The Dakota.

He was survived by his second wife, Yoko Ono, sons Julian Lennon and Sean Ono Lennon; and first wife Cynthia Lennon.

Rumors concerning a feud between the Lennon brothers have been making the headlines for some time now. Sean Ono finally clarified the remarks and addressed the talk of the town.

Reposting a photo with Julian on his Instagram story on April 21, he dismissed gossip claiming unnecessary comparisons and fights between them.

The message on the story read,

"here, we do not accept comparisons and erroneous creations of fights about two people that john lennon loved the most: his children :)"

In a conversation on the Word In Your Ear podcast, Julian revealed why he changed his name. He shared,

"It was in 2020, just before we all got locked in a cage that I finally actually decided to legally change my name by default. Because originally my name was John Charles Julian Lennon, and the crap that I had to deal with when traveling and security companies and this and that and the other."

Recalling the past experiences, he further added,

"Whenever you had to present yourself, especially on like boarding passes, just as an example, you know they only use your first name, and so it would always be 'John Lennon, John Lennon.'"
