Jeremy Renner is going viral for his new memoir, My Final Breath, sparking interest in his dating history.

In the new book, the Avengers actor reflected on his near-death experience two years ago, when he survived a freak snowplow accident. Complete with harrowing new details, he also recounted the moment he actually "died."

The actor was at his Lake Tahoe home on New Year’s Day 2023 when he got run over by his 14,000-pound PistenBully Snowcat.

“As I lay on the ice, my heart rate slowed, and right there, on that New Year’s Day, unknown to my daughter, my sisters, my friends, my father, my mother, I just got tired,” he wrote, per Us Weekly. “After about 30 minutes on the ice, of breathing manually for so long, an effort akin to doing 10 or 20 push-ups per minute for half an hour … that’s when I died.” "I died, right there on the driveway to my house," he continued. "I know I died. In fact, I’m sure of it."

He also noted that EMTs later confirmed his heart rate had “bottomed out at 18.” He wrote, "This was basically dead," describing how he felt “an exhilarating peace” during the ordeal.

"When I died, what I felt was energy, a constantly connected, beautiful and fantastic energy," he added. "There was no time, place, or space, and nothing to see, except a kind of electric, two-way vision made from strands of that inconceivable energy. I could see my lifetime. I could see everything all at once."

A closer look at Jeremy Renner's relationship history

Jeremy Renner dated Rashida Jones back in 1995, though they parted ways within a few months. According to Us Weekly, he kept his love life at bay until 2005, when he began dating Jess Macallan. The two would go on to break up in 2010.

By 2013, Renner had begun dating Sonni Pacheco, and a year later, they secretly got hitched. During that time, they welcomed their daughter, Ava Berlin, together. However, after only 10 months of marital bliss, the pair decided to part ways, with Pacheco filing for divorce in 2015.

A legal battle ensued not long after, with Pacheco filing for sole custody of Ava. At the time, she accused Renner of trying to kill her, claiming that he shoved a gun into his mouth and threatened to hurt himself before opening fire into the ceiling while his daughter was asleep.

However, as reported by Us Weekly, a rep for the actor later rubbished these claims as “dramatizations” and a “one-sided” account of the ordeal. At the time, Jeremy Renner sat down for an interview with Playboy, when he reflected on the toll his divorce was taking on him.

“I haven’t slept more than four hours a night in the past week. My skin’s breaking out. I’ve got dark circles under my eyes. I’m dehydrated. I look like s—t," he said. “I felt pretty insecure walking into a photo shoot this morning, and I was running late because I had just gotten out of my fourth deposition for the divorce.”

The pair finalized their divorce in 2015, with each getting equal custody. By 2018, Renner was linked to Eiza Gonzalez after they were spotted together at an Oscars afterparty. However, following a few months of dating, they parted ways. At the time, an insider told Us Weekly that there was “nothing romantic going on with them."

Jeremy Renner began dating Amber Monson in August 2023, months after he survived the snow plow incident. It is unclear when they parted ways, although the following year, he dated fashion influencer Cassandra “CC” Mason for about eight months, “on and off," according to Page Six.
