Jeremy London's ex-wife Melissa Cunningham, 54, is an actress best known for Just Another Romantic Wrestling Comedy, Secret Agent 420, and Chasing the Green.
7th Heaven star Jeremy London, in a new six-part Investigation Discovery documentary series Hollywood Demons, recalled being fired from the popular series over an alleged domestic violence incident,
"I can't say that working on 7th Heaven was a very positive experience for me. I left 7th Heaven because I got fired."
London starred as Chandler Hampton, a main cast member in 2002 during the series' seventh season. He looked back at the incident that led to domestic violence allegations by his ex-wife Melissa Cunningham at the time,
"Working on 7th Heaven, my wife (then girlfriend Melissa Cunningham) and I, we were driving up the 405, and things got stupid, and we were yelling and screaming over something that we shouldn't even have been fighting over. And that literally in that moment changed everything."
In 2004, London received a restraining order for allegedly throwing Melissa out of the side of his car on a California highway. Melissa had accused London of breaking her nose and attacking her in 2008, according to Daily Mail.
The documentary episode revisited the incident, and London recalled that media reports said,
"I beat up women, that I was some kind of like, women abuser. But because of that, I got turned into a, people were saying really horrible things about me. And all of a sudden, I was a bad person when I wasn't. And so of course I started doing everything that I could not to...um...I'm sorry."
London, in the documentary, can be seen breaking down in tears and leaving the room. In a voiceover, London revealed that Hollywood "abandoned" him and chose to "believe lies" about him.
