BAFTA TV Awards 2025 is supposed to be held at the Royal Festival Hall in the Southbank Centre of London. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts recently released a statement revealing Alan Cumming as the host of the upcoming award ceremony:
"From his Tony and Olivier Award-winning performance in Cabaret, to his memorable performance in The Good Wife — for which he won a Golden Globe for best supporting actor, as well as an Emmy for his work as an executive producer — Cumming is recognized for his versatility both on-screen and behind the scenes. More recently, his signature charm has captivated TV audiences worldwide as host of The Traitors U.S., for which he has won two Emmys and two Critics Choice Awards.”
In a similar vein, the Executive Director of Awards and Content at BAFTA, Emma Baehr, remarked:
"We’re delighted that Alan Cumming will be hosting this year’s BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises. BBC One is the official telecast partner of the coveted awards ceremony, which will also be available for streaming on BBC's iPlayer. In addition to this, BritBox will be providing the award ceremony coverage, which can be accessed in all locations supported by the streamer, including Australia, the USA, Canada, and the Nordic countries.
Foxtel has been consigned to air the ceremony in Australia, and AlThaqafeya and MBC Channels will be telecasting the ceremony across twenty-four countries in Africa and the Middle East. Rewind Networks, on the other hand, will be telecasting the ceremony throughout thirteen countries in Asia.
